Scott Derrickson, the writer-director behind Sinister and Doctor Strange, has a new film on the way, The Black Phone, but he’s already moved on to his next project, executive producing the upcoming series “Grace” for Paramount Television under his Crooked Highway banner.
Written by Joseph Sousa, “Grace” centers on a man on death row for killing his wife who is set free when she resurfaces. But she may not really be who she says she is,” according to Variety.
C. Robert Cargill and Sherryl Clark will also produce for Crooked Highway.
Ethan Hawke (Sinister) reunites with Derrickson for The Black Phone, based on a story by Joe Hill. Hawke plays a kidnapper who has taken a kid to a creepy, soundproofed basemen where an ancient evil lurks, connected to a disconnected phone. Then, when night falls, the phone rings.
