Fans are itching for a new season of Netflix’s “The Witcher.” Luckily, production has already begun on season three. Today, we’ve got a casting update.
Series regulars Henry Cavill (Geralt of Rivia), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer of Vengerberg), and Freya Allan (Princess Cirilla of Cintra) are all returning for the new season.
They are joined by new cast members Robbie Amell (“The Flash”) who will play Gallatin, the leader of the Nilfgaard Scoia’tael army. Meng’er Zhang will star as Milva. a fierce and talented huntress. Radovid, the younger brother of King Vizimir, will be portrayed by Hugh Skinner (“Fleabag”). And Christelle Elwin will play Mistle, a member of the misfit teen gang, “The Rats,” who steal from the rich.
According to Netflix in season 3, “As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed on a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line — or risk losing each other forever.”
Lauren Schmidt Hissrich serves as both showrunner and executive producer for Season 3 along with Tomek Baginski, Jason F. Brown, Sean Daniel, Steve Gaub, Mike Ostrowski, and Jarosław Sawko.
