Scream Queen Emma Roberts, who starred in films like Scream 4 and appeared in “American Horror Story,” is set to star in Director Spencer Squire’s horror film Abandoned.
Abandoned follows Sara (Emma Roberts), her husband Alex (John Gallagher Jr.), and their infant son as they move into a remote farmhouse, which harbors a dark, tragic history. As their home’s past is revealed, the mother’s fragility escalates to a state of psychosis that jeopardizes her own safety and that of her newborn son.
The film, written by Erik Patterson and Jessica Scott, also stars Michael Shannon (Nocturnal Animals). Abandoned will open in theaters on June 17, 2022, followed by its release on Digital and On-Demand on June 24th from Vertical Entertainment.
