Today we got a vague and strange email posing a question, “What is The Tension Experience?” So, I decided to look further by visiting the website. According to the message it is a completely personal experience. Participants sign up for an “engaging, multifaceted and completely unpredictable journey…” one that has them “plunging into the deepest depths of their own human psyches, all while piecing together pieces of the Tension puzzle.” Indoctrination begins this Fall, 2016 in Los Angeles, California and the OOA Institute would encourage those interested in taking the path to enlightenment to visit the Tension Experience website to begin your journey today. I did a little snooping around the OOA website, which is filled with quotes, and puzzles. I found a message board where those who have already began their “journey to enlightenment”discussed their experiences and compared notes. They spoke of hoods, secret locations, cryptic messages and puzzles. I realized then that The Tension Experiment is an actual,

For those of you (we assume it’s all of you) who have seen the iconic 1975 film Jaws, know that one of the more important scenes feature Brody (Roy Scheider), Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and Quint (Robert Shaw) having a drink in the boat’s galley and comparing scars. Quint has a scar where a tattoo once was. When Hooper asks him about it, Quint explains it was a tattoo from when he was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Indianapolis and Hooper falls back in seat in shock. Quint explains to Brody that “Eleven-hundred men went into the water. Three-hundred and sixteen men came out – sharks took the rest.” Quints tale was based on a true story. Soon we will be getting a film that reveals more of Quint’s back story.
