Movie Review: Monsters: Dark Continent (2015)

‘Monsters: Dark Continent’ picks up ten years after the events of ‘Monsters’. The infected zones have spread around the world. A group of four friends from the Broncs have shipped out for their tour of duty in the Army. As giant monsters roam the Middle East, the group is sent out on a rescue mission to retrieve a group of stranded soldiers. Monsters are not the only problems facing the mission, insurgents and road side bombs aren’t making the men’s jobs any easier. Along the mission several lives are lost and the survivors put to the test. Sam Keelyey (After Death), Joe Dempsie (Game of Thrones), Johnny Harris (Snow White and the Huntsman), Parker Sawyers (Zero Dark Thirty), Nicholas Pinnock ( Captain America: The First Advenger) and Kyle Soller star in the military monster movie, directed by Tom Green. This movie may be named ‘Monsters’, but the creatures are not the focus. Much of the movie is spent exploring the

An Update From Joseph Gordon-Levitt On The ‘Sandman’ Movie

Joseph Gordon-Levitt gave an update on the ‘Sandman’ movie, which he will be producing, directing and starring in, at Spike’s Guy Choice Awards this weekend. “Big spectacular action movies are generally about crime fighters fighting crime and blowing shit up. This has nothing to do with that,” He continues “And it was actually one of the things that Neil Gaiman said to me, he said “Don’t have any punching.” Because he never does. If you read the comics, Morpheus doesn’t punch anybody. That’s not what he does. It’s going to be like a grand spectacular action film, but that relies on none of those same old ordinary cliches. So, that’s why it’s taking a lot of time to write, but it’s going to be really good.” Levitt, Gaiman and David S. Goyer, along with Jack Thorne, who will be serving as screenwriter for ‘Sandman’, are working hard to create a movie that will honor Neil Gaiman’s original vision for the

Update On The New Adaption Of Stephen King’s ‘The Stand’

Stephen King’s novel ‘The Stand’ tells the story of a group of survivors, after the world is decimated by a man-made virus. This will mark the second time the novel has been made into a miniseries, the first aired back in 1994. The new adaption of King’s ‘The Stand’ is set to include an eight episode miniseries on Showtime that will lead to a full length feature film. The thought behind the miniseries concept is that the series of episodes would allow for more of the story to be told, than any one film could show. Reportedly, the miniseries will be a star studded event. Director Josh Boone is aiming to cast stars who have never before been seen in a TV series.
