‘FLESH OF THE VOID’ Premieres New Trailer

With Principal Photography wrapped on new, experimental horror film Flesh of the Void, a first trailer has shown up online. From first time feature director James Quinn, Void is shot on a combination of expired Super 8 film stock and 16 MM in order to achieve an uncomfortable vibe (the trailer is certainly disturbing.) Flesh of the Void is “intended as a disjointed, surreal trip through the deepest and most violent fears of the human condition, depicting its subject in a radical, grotesque and raw manner, refusing to shy away from societal taboos.” Releasing sometime later in 2017, this film is looking to be one hell of a trip. https://vimeo.com/221166861?utm_source=Flesh+of+the+Void+Trailer&utm_campaign=BSM&utm_medium=email

Official Trailer And Poster Unveiled For Terror Films’ ‘Hank Boyd Is Dead’

Today, distributor Terror Films debuts the official trailer, movie poster, and a new clip for the twisted horror-thriller, ‘Hank Boyd is Dead’. Check out the poster below. From writer/director Sean Melia (‘The Administrator’), comes the dark tale, which follows the story of struggling actress Sarah Walsh (portrayed by Stefanie E. Frame, ‘The Darkness II’). She’s alone in tending to the funeral services of Hank Boyd, the town loner, who stood accused of a terrible crime. Though she went to high school with Hank, and thought him harmless, her view of the deceased begins to shift after meeting his eccentric family. As the tension, insanity, and body count begin to build, Sarah must find a way to survive the warped experience. The film, which will be released in several territories (including the United States and Canada), and several platforms (including Roku, Steam, iTunes, Google

‘IT’ Scares Up R Rating

Rejoice, horror fans, as it appears Pennywise won’t be holding back when it comes to visceral terror. Despite the studio trend of the last decade plus to make sure nearly every theatrical horror film gets a tame PG-13 rating, the new adaptation of Stephen King‘s beloved novel ‘IT’ will be rated R when it’s released theatrically this September. The MPAA has cited the highly-anticipated film’s “violence/horror”, blood, and harsh language as the reasons for the restricted rating. Let the crippling coulrophobia commence! ‘IT’ floats into theaters everywhere September 8, 2017.

Horror Comic Kicked From Kickstarter After Raising $700 Over “Graphic Content”

Full disclosure- the comic in question is mine, the campaign was run by me, and we’re now up and running on Indiegogo for anyone interested, and one of our perks is actually writing your name on an egg and throwing it at a Kickstarter poster. We haven’t made back a fraction of what we’ve lost so far, but at least we’re still in the game. . While Horrorfuel readers might know me for my reviews, news, and general writings on the horror community, I’ve also been co-writing a comic for about a year now, Tales From The Whorehouse of Horror. Maybe you can guess from the title it’s not something you read to your kid before you tuck him in at night. And I fully admit, and in fact relish, that The Whorehouse of Horror is a book full of filth, depravity, and everything that mainstream sensibilities tell you to steer the fuck away from. But it’s also a book

Short Film Review: ‘Worm’ Tells A Tale Of A Truly Twisted Psyche

In this world, many people feel the need to conceal their true feelings behind the veneer of a brave face or a saccharin smile to hide what they truly feel deep down. Such is the case for Geoffrey Oswald Dodd, a mild mannered high school teacher. At first glance he seems like a fairly amiable gent, but deep inside he is filled with venom and vitriol for his students and colleagues. He goes about his day, observing the same old humdrum routine. But little do those around him know of the malice, anger, frustration and resentment that are festering beneath the surface. Everyone has varying levels of tolerance in regard to reaching ones breaking point…has Mr. Dodd finally reached and breached his? Worm was directed by Richard Powell, from a script he also penned. It’s a disturbing look behind the curtain of one man’s warped psyche. What I really liked about this story is that it’s primarily driven by the

‘Sherlock’ Brain-trust To Create A New ‘Dracula’ Series

Hello again my Little Monsters, as you may have read in the title, it appears that a new Dracula series is in the works from the folks at the BBC (that’s The British Broadcasting Corporation to you and me, Rusty). After their monumentally successful modernization of the tales of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s legendary sleuth in the television series Sherlock, the writers and producers of the popular series are focusing their gaze on a new incarnation of Bram Stoker’s equally legendary “Prince of Darkness”. Sherlock series writers Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat will be on board again to handle writing duties, while Sue Vertue’s company Hartswood Films will handle all producorial aspects. This will be a reunion of sorts for Gattis and Moffat, who haven’t collaborated on a project since Series 4 of Sherlock. Despite their present work on solo projects, Gatiss and Moffat have begun talks with the BBC on this new series. Granted, there will likely be no

Woman (In Horror) Crush Wednesday: Julie Harris

Yes my Little Monsters, ’tis Wednesday and that means it’s time for us all to come together to celebrate another wonderful Woman of Horror. Now not all of these lovely and talented ladies have an extensive horror resume, and such is the case with today’s featured lady, Julie Harris. But that’s not to say that her contribution is not a significant one within the horror genre, and it’s a contribution we’ll get to in a minute. Julie was born Julia Ann Harris in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, to Elsie and William Pickett Harris. She would go on to attend and eventually graduate from Grosse Pointe Country Day School, during which time her family encouraged her to pursue the performing arts. Julie would then make the move to New York City, where she would attend The Hewitt School. She would also receive training during her teenage years, at the Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School & Camp located in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Charlotte Perry,
