Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share on my own. Let’s be honest cats n’ creeps we live in a wondrous age… an age where it’s possible for any ol’ superhero team to get their own TV show, no matter how offbeat or obscure (as far as the general public is concerned anyway). That brings us to the subject of this here revoltin’ review; Doom Patrol, a great slice of wacky weirdness in it’s four-color iteration, but not the first choice one may have for live-action adaptation. Turns out it should have been… The basic storyline for this super show goes as follows: The Doom Patrol; who’s ranks include Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), a dominant personality of a woman who has been traumatized, Rita Farr (April Bowlby) known as Elasti-Girl who is stretching herself thin trying not to become a permanent bowl of Jell-O,

Massachusetts based writer/artist Tony McMillen’s (Lumen) latest comic book offering Serious Creatures is a book that should be easily embraced by those that visit this site. Don’t believe me? Well, you’re an asshole… but an asshole that should read on to learn just why I’m so hyped on this beastly book! Serious Creatures concerns the adventures of teen Bobby Feckle, a young kid in the early 70’s with aspirations of being a special effects artist. A chance encounter during the filming of the biggest blockbuster of the mid-’70s (called Fin here, but you cats will dig what the book is laying down) sets Bobby on the first baby-steps of making his dreams a reality while at the same time his home-life begins to degrade. I’m willing to bet demons to doughnuts that many of you cats n’ creeps are a lot like Bobby; you live, eat, and breath movie monsters morning, noon, and night… and I’d wager a good many

If you ask anyone who reads manga which artist makes good horror mangas, you’ll most likely be pointed in the direction of Junji Ito whose stories and the images that accompany them are legendary and frightening. On the opening day of the Crunchyroll Expo 2019, it was announced that Ito’s popular story Uzumaki, will be getting a four-episode anime adaptation. The series will be directed by Hiroshi Nagahama who is known for directing the anime series adaptation of the supernatural adventure Mushishi. Colin Stetson who composed the soundtrack for the film Hereditary will be composing Uzumaki’s soundtrack. Uzumaki is Japanese for “spiral”, in the manga the story revolves around (no pun intended) fictional town where the citizens are tormented by a curse where spirals are appearing in everyday objects and driving people insane to the point that either they turn into snails OR die with their bodies twisted in a spiral. In 2000 a live-action film adaptation was released as

Following a flood of entertainment news from SDCC, news came that two-time Oscar winner and “True Detective” star Mahershala Ali is gearing up to hunt down vampires in Marvel’s new Blade movie! During the Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con last night Ali appeared and revealed the news that he is will be starring as the badass day-walker Blade, the character made iconic by Wesley Snipes. There are no other details available yet, but we assume that the movie will be out in late 2020 or early 2021. We’ll keep you posted. Personally, I think it’s a good fit, especially if Ali beefs up. He’s an incredible actor (he’s got two Oscars for God’s sake). He was fantastic in “True Detective” and in “Luke Cage”, in which he plays the villain Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes. If you haven’t seen either series, I strongly recommend that you do so. You will find “True Detective” on Prime and “Luke Cage” on Netflix.

If you missed Hellboy in theaters, we have good news, you will soon be able to watch it from the comfort of your own couch. Hellboy, which opened in theaters back in April, is already headed to Blu-ray, DVD, and Prime next month. The film wasn’t a smash hit at the box office, bringing in only $48 million ($2 million short of covering its budget), so it seems Lionsgate is making a move to quickly recover its losses. David Harbour stars as Hellboy in Neil Marshall‘s new reboot alongside Ian McShane, Milla Jovovich as Nimue, the film’s villain; Ian McShane as Professor Broom; Daniel Dae Kim as Major Ben Daimio; Penelope Mitchell as Ganeida; and Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan with Sophie Okonedo (After Earth), Brian Gleeson (mother!) and Alistair Petrie (The Night Manager, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story). Aron Coleite wrote the latest version of the script by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola, Andrew Cosby, and Christopher Golden. Larry
