Norman Reedus, who plays the role of Daryl on AMC’s The Walking Dead, not only has to face “biters” on screen, but in real life as well. According to several witnesses and security staff, a fan took a bite out of Reedus yesterday at Walker Stalker Con in New Jersey, luckily it didn’t cause any damage. The strange encounter started when a woman by the name of Robin Glover, while having her picture taken with Reedus and Michael Rooker, who played Reedus’ on screen brother Merle on The Walking Dead, told Reedus that she frequently pretends she’s married to him, which is creepy on its own. Seconds later security rushed in, restrained her, and forced her to leave, because she actually bit him. You read that right, she took a bite out of Norman Reedus. Rooker was so shocked by the woman’s brazen act that he exclaimed “What the fuck was that ?!”. Spoil The Dead member Michael Bowman happened

With Christmas rapidly approaching and Krampus opening in theaters this weekend, the anti-Santa is everywhere, including Austria’s yearly Krampus parade. At the “Krampuuslauf Graz” parade, known as “The scariest parade on Earth”, hundreds of people dressed in their scariest Krampus themed costumes join to celebrate the legend and scare who they can. The centuries old legend of Krampus has Germanic roots. The beast is St. Nicholas’ other, darker half. His job is to punish naughty children. Krampus, half-demon, half-goat, literally beats the naughty out of bad kids with birch sticks, before dragging them into the underworld. In Norse mythology, Krampus is the spawn of Hel and arrives in town on December 6th. I don’t know about you, but after seeing these terrifying characters, I swear, I’ll be good next year. I would hate to get on Krampus’ list.

Prequels It’s tempting to leave the brilliant Mr. Plinkett Star Wars prequel reviews to suffice for this post. I think they should be used in film classes everywhere. Red Letter Media’s brilliant look at what went wrong with the franchise is without equal and perfectly nails everything wrong with three installments that scarred memories and almost derailed a franchise. The critiques are raunchy and in terrible taste but they are also funny as hell and exquisite. See all of them HERE There are multiple parts for each film, but every single one of them is worth it. A Fleet of eleven ghost ships have washed up on the coast of Japan. No, this is not the plot of a new horror film, eleven REAL ghost ships mysteriously appeared on Japan’s coast yesterday (November 28th), carrying the remains of of twenty-three sailors, like a scene out of the 2002 film Ghost Ship or the horror film The Fog. The bodies of the sailors are so badly decomposed that they are unidentifiable and have been described as skeletons. The only clues to the ship’s origins are a piece of flag in one ship, identified as a North Korea flag and a sign on one ship saying “Korean People’s Army”. The fact that ships appeared all at once would give the impression that they all set sail at the same time, but showing up the way they did is a little creepy. We will update you as the story develops.

Do I Or Don’t I? There are crowdfunding sites for films, projects, medical issues, video games, bankruptcy, personal hardships and well…one for making potato salad. What does Cynema have to do with crowdfunding? After all, it’s about people pursuing their dreams, correct? Maybe. Some of that is legit. I am focusing on the film projects. Thousands of folks out there have turned to The Internet to get their movie funded. Kickstarter, Indie Go Go and Go Fund Me have bloomed as filmmakers go to these sites, set financial goals and lobby for donors. I’ve followed several of these ventures on Twitter. They spend their day lobbying followers to help them make their daily financial goals to make “their dream” come true. They offer “packages” that give the title of “producer” to their films. This is ball busting work and to be sure has pissed off a legion of followers with the constant time line shake downs. Some of these filmmakers

It’s Not A Remake The Thing, 2011, is NOT a remake. It is a prequel. I just did more than the entire Universal Studios marketing department with that clarification. John Carpenter got royally screwed on his 1982 masterpiece. Some call The Thing his greatest film. Others, like me, call it one of the greatest films ever made for any genre. Carpenter’s film was buried in 1982 by a candy pilfering alien and Spielberg. Between a lackluster marketing campaign by Universal Studios and America’s pop sugar desire for heart glowing aliens, The Thing, 1982, never really had a chance. Carpenter himself saw the handwriting on the wall after exiting a plane to giant advertisements for ET: The Extraterrestrial. “We’re done,” he lamented. However home video and cable gave his film a new life, and eventually the tortoise caught up and passed the alien. Today, Carpenter’s film is regarded as timeless and as mentioned, by many, his best. The National Association of Police Organizations, representing over 241,000 officers, along with other law enforcement groups in New York, Houston, L.A., New Jersey, Chicago and Philadelphia, have joined the boycott of Quentin Tarantino. Tarantino angered law enforcement agencies when he referred to police as “murderers” during a statement at a “Black Lives Matter” rally in New York City on October 24th. “This is not being dealt with in any way at all. That’s why we are out here.” Tarantino continued “If it was being dealt with, then these murdering cops would be in jail or at least be facing charges. When I see murderers, I do not stand by. I have to call a murder a murder, and I have to call the murderers the murderers.” According to Variety, The Weinstein Company, which will be releasing Tarantino’s ‘The Hateful Eight’ on Christmas, did not respond to a request for a comment about the boycott. On November 1st AMC will air a special 90-minute episode of ‘The Walking Dead’ to celebrate “The Walking Dead Mega Sunday”. During the extended ‘Here’s Not Here’ episode, AMC will premier the trailer for their new series ‘Preacher‘, starring Dominic Cooper (Agent Carter, Dracula Untold). The new series is based on the adaption of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s fantastic comic book by the same name. For those who are not familiar with the comics, let me explain. ‘Preacher’ follows Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a preacher from a small Texas town, who was pushed into preaching by his effing insane family. Jesse, after being possessed by Genesis, an entity that is half angel and half demon, sets out to find God. He is accompanied by his ex girlfriend Tulip O’Hare (Ruth Negga) and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), a vampire. The Halloween ComicFest will take place this Halloween, Saturday October 31st 2105, and is a great way to introduce friends and family to the world of comics. Comic shops are already a great place to go for the latest in pop culture and comics but this event takes the comic shop experience
