Polonium Studio is currently making a horror game and they’re doing something that most devs don’t do, calling on the help of horror game fans to offer their input! The game in development right now is Death Damnation, a first-person horror where players take on the role of a graveyard worker on the first night of the job and everything goes to hell. To survive, players will have to decide how to get rid of the paranormal entities plaguing the Cemetary while at the same time trying to solve the mystery as to why this event is happening. The community will be involved in every step of development and can provide us feedback and suggestions in the Steam Discussions as well as our Discord server. The Strange Monster at the Rivera House In this Puerto Rican horror short, neighbors of a woman (Aidita Encarnación) are desperate to communicate with — or through — a mysterious presence in her garage. Writer/director Estaban Bailey has crafted a chilling work that takes place during a hot summer day — not a usual setting for a horror tale, but this enigmatic short is no usual tale. Well acted and eerie, The Strange Monster at the Rivera House (El Extraño en La Casa Rivera) is a nifty slice of short-shock cinema Pare Writer/director Lauren Sick’s Pare is a terrific Christmas-set chiller in which a young woman (Dana Drori) comes across a blood-stained jacket that looks suspiciously like one that belongs to her husband. Matters only get stranger — and decidedly creepier — from there. Sick builds the mystery and tension masterfully, assisted by a superb performance from Dori, whose facial expressions are fantastic. The Burning Sea is the latest in a string of great-looking, well-acted Norwegian disaster films. It comes from The Quake director John Andreas Andersen and The Wave writer Harald Rosenløw-Eeg, the latter of whom cowrote this feature with Lars Gudmestad. The result is a thrilling epic boasting highly impressive CGI effects, fine performances, and solid direction. Andersen, Rosenløw-Eeg, and Gudmestad focus on making emotionally relatable characters that viewers can get behind before the titular catastrophe occurs. Sofia (Kristine Kujath Thorp in a terrific emotional and physical performance) is a submersible drone pilot who shares a loving relationship with her boyfriend Stian (Henrik Bjelland), an oil rig technician who has a young son. She also has a well-grounded professional relationship with her work partner Arthur (Rolf Kristian Larsen). The new trailer is here and features some seriously spooky action. Inspired by the dreaded Aokigahara Forest at the base of Mt. The UK trailer and poster have now been released for Mattie Do‘s ghosty film The Long Walk, which made its world premiere at the 2019 Venice Film Festival, followed by screenings at the Toronto International Film Festival, Fantastic Fest, Busan, Locarno, and Sitges. The Long Walk marks the Laotian director Mattie Do’s third feature and centers around an old man, who discovers that he can travel back in time and speak with the dead. The film stars Yannawoutthi Chanthalungsy, Noutnapha Soydara, Vilouna Phetmany, Chansamone Inoudom, and Por Silatsa. Lightbulb Film Distribution will release The Long Walk on Digital platforms on February 28, 2022, from Yellow Veil Pictures.
