Max Landis Teases ‘American Werewolf In London’ Remake

And the remakes just keep coming. Like it or not, there is currently a remake in the works of the classic genre film An American Werewolf in London from Max Landis (Victor Frankenstein). Max’s father, John Landis, the man behind the 1981 film, has even advised his son not to make the film, but Max is pressing forward. During a conversation with Fandom Max stated that his version will be a straight-forward remake but with a modern twist. There’s no guarantee that the movie will exist but I’m very excited about it. I’m not here to remake American Werewolf in London into something it isn’t, I want to do everything from the original movie modern, and that’s it. He continued on to tease cameos from the original cast. Griffin Dunne..what about Jenny Agutter? Coem on, Jenny’s killing it right now. She was In Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It made me so excited! Yeah, there’s cameos from ideally literally everyone.

New Georgie Denbrough Funko Figure Is Depressingly Adorable

Georgie, with his big brown eyes and sleek yellow slicker, might be the cutest movie kid in years. He’s significantly less cute after being pulled down a gutter and turned into a little zombie boy, but that’s to be expected. So damn cute! So of course, Funko had to make a POP! figure out of him, although to be fair, it seems like the only film Funko hasn’t made toys out of yet is “Schindler’s List”. Georgie doesn’t seem too happy to be immortalized in plastic however. Maybe it’s because they stuck him next to the demon clown that bit his fucking arm off. Just a thought. Pennywise and Georgie will be available later this Winter.

Film Adaption Of Stephen King’s ‘The Talisman’ In The Works

Stephen King adaptions are everywhere these days (not that we’re complaining). Between IT, Gerald’s Game, ‘Mr. Mercedes’, ‘The Mist’ which has been canceled after one season, and others upcoming projects, King is dominating the genre. We can now add another adaption to the list. Variety is reporting that Josh Boone (New Mutants, The Fault in the Stars) has signed on to pen the script for the film adaption of King’s ‘The Talisman’ produced by Frank Marshall (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Jason Bourne). Written by King and Peter Straub in 1984, ‘The Talisman’ follows the young Jack Sawyer, whose mother is dying. Jack learns that if obtains the talisman he can cure her disease. He must embark on a journey through a parallel world. King penned a sequel to the tale titled ‘Black House’ featuring Jack as a grown man working as a homicide detective, so there is a potential sequel there if the first film is well received.

‘Flatliners’ Flatlines At The Box Office

The remake/sequel/bad idea that is “Flatliners” wasn’t met with a warm reception when it was released Friday, getting a 3% on Rotten Tomatoes and a mere $9.8 million worldwide, on a $20 million budget. Include marketing expenses and it looks like “Flatliners” is one of the biggest flops of the year. While the remake train has slowed down in recent years, this is yet another lesson for Hollywood that audiences don’t want rehashed and underwhelming adaptations of stories we already love. Because seriously, the original “Flatliners” is pretty damn good and can be rented for $3 on Google Play. And you get to watch it from the comfort of your couch while sipping on a beer. So basically, eat it Ellen Page (for the record Ellen Page is a great actress and a wonderful human being, who just needs to make a few better choices in what she decides to star in.)

Having just gone through one of the worst hurricanes Florida has experienced in decades, I got to thinking about some of the best horror films that have taken place during hurricanes. The list is surprisingly short. Hopefully, we’ve seen our last hurricane for the season, but for those of you that want to experience some hurricane-horror from the comfort of your own couch, here’s a short list of flicks that take place during some of the worst storms Mother Nature can throw at us. I Still Know What You Did Last Summer In this sequel to 1997’s I Know What You Did Last Summer, it’s one year after the killing of a crazy hit-and-run victim turned slasher Ben Willis and survivor girl Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt) has won a trip to the Bahamas with some of her new college friends. They arrive at a resort that’s operating with a skeleton crew, and apparently, none of them get the weather

Before Playboy, Hugh Hefner’s First Magazine Was Horror

Hugh Hefner’s passing to the big Bunny Ranch in the sky is a tragedy that reverberates across pop culture. While Old Hugh was of course most famous for the founding of Playboy Magazine, the only thing Hef loved more than sailor caps and silk pajamas (and ladies) was his love of classic horror movies. Well being Hefner was 91 when he died, he was around when they were just called horror movies. “I grew up loving the classic horror movies of the 1930s. I created a club & fanzine in my teens titled Shudder,” Hefner tweeted back in 2010. He added in a subsequent tweet, shortly thereafter, “I created a Shudder Club & Shudder Magazine Hefner even directed his own film as a teenager, “Return From The Dead”, where he played a mad scientist. Hefner at 16 in “Return From The Dead” Hefner will go down in history for his contributions to the sexual revolution. But behind the man’s man
