Game Review: 'Gord'

Game Review: ‘Gord’

It takes a village to raise a child they say, but what about one person to raise a village? That’s what awaits players in Covenant and Team 17’s adventure strategy Gord. Inspired by Slavic Folklore, how did this strategy game with horror elements fair? I would like to thank Team 17 and Covenant for the reviewing opportunity. Gord casts players in the role of the Steward representing the King as they help a group of nomadic villagers called the Tribe of the Dawn, led by the elder Boghdan, and establish Gords in the untamed wilds where dark forces, wildmen, and unknown horrors await. Along on your journey are the king’s emissary and a mysterious witch named Lynx. Now onto the game itself. Gord‘s controls at first may be a bit odd to players using controllers but after a while, you get pretty used to them, at the time of writing this I have not discovered a hotkey that will allow

Game Review: 'Atlas Fallen'

Game Review: ‘Atlas Fallen’

Focus Entertainment and its studio Deck13 Interactive have released their action RPG Atlas Fallen and were awesome enough to send over a copy for me to check out, a massive thank you to them for that as well as a thank you for being OK with the review coming out a bit late, so let’s check out Atlas Fallen! Atlas Fallen takes players to a fantasy world covered in sand and with corrupt gods. Players take on the role of the “Unnamed” a person whose station in society is so low, they have no name, who becomes the unlikely wielder of a special gauntlet that grants them powers to fight the monsters stalking the lands. The controls for Atlas Fallen are surprisingly easy to remember and handle with good response which is great for the hack-and-slash style combat (which I love). The soundtrack is pretty good and fits well with this twist on a fantasy world we find ourselves in.

The Most Shocking Casino Crime Story Ever

The Most Shocking Casino Crime Story Ever

Crime, gambling, and casinos not on Gamstop are a combination that has always worked well together in world history and is still a hot topic in Hollywood. We all know movies like Ocean’s Eleven, where an all-star movie cast led by George Clooney and Brad Pitt pull off a successful robbery at the well-known casinos MGM Grand, Bellagio, and Mirage in Las Vegas. If we look back in history, we cannot ignore the time of Prohibition in the American 1920s. The mafia then controlled so-called “speakeasies” – secret pubs where people drank and gambled. Gambling online at non-GamStop casinos or offline in Las Vegas has probably never been as intertwined as they were back then! The Most Exciting True Non-GamStop Casinos Crime Story Of course, stories like Ocean’s Eleven are purely fictional – and many stories from Al Capone’s time are, of course, true. There are, therefore some historical, epic stories about crime and casinos in history. We have selected

Behind the Shadows: How Horror Games Keep Players on Their Toes

Behind the Shadows: How Horror Games Keep Players on Their Toes

The realm of horror gaming is a treasure trove of mind-bending narratives, unnerving environments, and pulse-pounding moments. But it’s the intricate design elements that truly drive the fear factor, keeping players on edge and fully immersed in their dark adventures. In this article, we will delve into how horror games keep players on their toes, spotlighting the tools that designers use to create immersive, engaging, and terrifying gaming experiences. The Art of Uncertainty Uncertainty is a cornerstone of the horror genre. Gaming often amplifies it through unpredictable enemy encounters, mysterious puzzles, and opaque narrative threads. Take Silent Hill’s iconic fog, for instance, which limits visibility and obscures potential threats, thus elevating player anticipation and fear. This uncertainty about what lurks behind the shadows keeps players perpetually on their toes. Every corner turned or a door opened becomes a potential trigger for dread. Moreover, developers masterfully use uncertainty to manipulate pacing. Unpredictable patterns of calm periods interspersed with sudden frights, known
