Creepy Jar has announced at the Future Games Show that their critically acclaimed realistic survival game Green Hell will be finally taking the next big step and come to console! In Green Hell players are dropped into the middle of the Amazon where they have no recollection as to how they got there but their love Mia is missing as well. Players will have to face danger around every corner as they craft tools, make shelter, manage their resources, hunt, care for their wounds, explore, and try to keep their sanity in check. Go it alone in story mode or team up with friends in a player co-op mode, Green Hell will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this June with upgrades to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on the horizon!

Merge Games and Italian Games Factory have announced their upcoming space exploration title that will have horror elements as part of its story that will take players to distant planets where they explore, trade, and earn money to update their ships, all the while fighting for survival from supernatural foes. In Haunted Space players take on the role of a raider of the Human Empire tasked with exploring the distant corners of the universe to scavenge and earn credits. During your adventures, you come across a vast alien civilization whose ghosts haunt, as well as encountering large alien monsters who act as level bosses who are made up of organic material as well as space junk. A big thank you and flailing of tendrils to Asmodee Digital, and Artefacts Studio for the opportunity to take a look at the tabletop RPG turned Video game, Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace. The game is based on the popular “Arkham Horror” board game series by Fantasy Flight Games that takes place in the world of H.P. Lovecraft pitting everyday people fighting to protect their sanity while being pulled into the world of cosmic horror. Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace takes place in the 1920s where an acquaintance to an astrology professor from Miskatonic University finds her murdered in her own home by cultists, setting off a chain of otherworldly events tied to a comet she’s been researching. Now the friend along with others ventures out to solve her murder and the strange occurrences surrounding it. Now onto the game itself! A big thank you to All In! Games and PolyAmorous Games for the chance to check out their alternate history Walking-Sim, Paradise Lost. The game runs similarly to Firewatch and The Suicide of Rachel Foster, while Firewatch was a good game and The Suicide of Rachel Foster desperately tried to copy it and failed to live up to its own hype, is there hope for this game or is it doomed to be left out in the cold of nuclear winter? Let’s take a look at Paradise Lost. Paradise Lost takes place in an alternative history where WWII lasted over 20 years and ends with Germany nuking most of Europe after moving all their desired citizens into a massive underground bunker system with the hopes of eventually returning to the surface with a new super army and ending the war in their favor, this never happened as the bunker is invaded by the Polish resistance who then take the bunker

THQ Nordic has announced officially that the remake of the RPG classic, Gothic, will be going into production with the help of an up-and-coming Barcelona-based game developer Alkimia Interactive who will be acting as a subsidiary to THQ in the Southern European game development. With the development starting out, they do have positions open still to those interested in working in game development as the company will mainly be working on RPG games for both PC and Console players. Reinhard Pollice, Studio Head at Alkimia Interactive had this to say: We strive to build Alkimia Interactive as a top-notch RPG studio” He continues: Our ambition is to become one of the best addresses for PC/Console core game development in the South of Europe.”

Feardemic and Unfold Games surreal horror puzzle game DARQ is getting an upgrade as well as a new release to Nintendo Switch and next-gen consoles in the coming days. DARQ: Complete Edition will take players into the lucid nightmare of a teenage boy named Lloyd who is stuck in this nightmarish dreamscape and must find a way out by using stealth, and solving puzzles while using physics-defying exploration in order to survive his fears creeping in his subconscious. DARQ: Complete Edition will be playable in cinematic mode on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S at 4K resolution at 30 FPS, or in performance mode at 1800p resolution at 60 FPS. The complete edition will include the main game along with two DLCs, “The Tower” and “The Crypt”. All In! Games have announced today that Paradise Lost is coming soon! Along with the release date announcement comes a new gameplay trailer, narrated by the game’s director Bogdan Graczyk, showing what players are expected to see when they venture into an abandoned nazi bunker. Paradise Lost takes place in an alternate history timeline where WWII lasted 20 years longer than it has and ended with no clear victor as Europe was turned into a nuclear wasteland. It’s 1980 and recently orphaned 12-year-old Szymon finds himself at an abandoned Nazi bunker that was taken over by the Polish resistance which afterward everyone vanished. Szymon will explore the bunker which has a connection to his mother and a mysterious man who is photographed with her in the bunker, along with Ewa, a mysterious girl who speaks through the bunker’s PA system. Game developer Outerminds has announced with a teaser trailer that they are currently working with RKSS Films in making their cult classic 2015 superhero comedy gorefest Turbo Kid into a game. The game’s plot will follow the film which takes place in a post-apocalyptic 1997 where the protagonist The Kid travels the wastelands as a superhero who teams up with others to stop the tyrannical warlord Zeus. Turbo Kid will be a Metroidvania (cross between the “Metroid” and “Castlevania” game series) style game where players take control of The Kid and his BMX bike as they traverse different environments and face off against foes that The Kid can turn into pixilated goo with the same comedic over the top gore seen in the 2015 film. Turbo Kid is set for a 2022 release, there’s no word at this time what platforms it will be released on.
