ALL in! Games and PolyAmorous have released a new trailer for the upcoming first-person mystery walking sim, Paradise Lost, a game taking place in an alternate timeline where WWII lasted 20 years. In Paradise Lost players take on the role of 12-year-old Szymon. A Polish boy raised in the now post-apocalyptic wasteland that was once Europe till the Nazis in a desperate attempt nuked the entire continent sealing it off from the rest of the world. Its winter in 1980 and Szymon has discovered an old Nazi bunker and begins to explore it and uncover the mystery of the bunker’s former inhabitants where retro-futuristic technology and Slavic mythology collide. The “Alternative History” trailer explains the events leading up to the main story of the game on a historical level while keeping the mystery of the bunker up in the air for us to find out. Paradise Lost is set to be released this year for Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation

Bandai Namco today released the new launch trailer for their upcoming puzzle, platform, horror experience Little Nightmares II that is set to be released this week on the 11th (February 11th, 2021). The trailer shows players what is waiting for them in the Pale City and it’s not pretty. Faceless figures, monstrosities, and dark corners where danger may lurk as players take on the role of Mono as he travels through the pale city with Six (the main protagonist from Little Nightmares) to find the source of a strange humming. Little Nightmares II will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Steam, and Google Stadia. Owners of the game on older-gen consoles will get a free upgrade to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 when it’s available.

If I told you there’s a game about environmentalist werewolves that fight big oil/pharma, you would say that I’ve strolled too long on the dark web, well guess what, there is a game like that, and thanks to the folks at Cyanide Studios and Nacon have brought the tabletop RPG by World of Darkness and White Wolf Publishing to life in the game Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood. Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood is based on the tabletop RPG from the 90’s that takes players to a world where spirits affect worldly events and from the shadows are the Garou, a race of werewolves who fight to keep the order and balance but have their work cut out for them as one of these spiritual forces known as the Wyrm has become hell-bent on the complete and utter destruction of the world and influences corporations such as the fossil fuel industry. Asmodee Digital released the first gameplay trailer for their upcoming Lovecraftian detective game Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace based on the popular board game franchise Arkham Horror that pits a large roster of colorful characters against Lovecraftian creatures that signal the return of the old ones. Arkham Horror: Mother’s Embrace is a tactical RPG combined with the deep narrative taking place in the world of Lovecraft where players take on the role of one of twelve iconic characters from the “Arkham Horror” bored games to solve the mysterious death of an astrologer all the while trying to keep their sanity and survive against fights with unspeakable creatures! A big thank you to the hardworking folks at Bloober Team who came in clutch at the last minute to make this review possible, this game almost flew under the radar for me and I’m glad it didn’t! There are two sides to everything, even our world in The Medium. The Medium takes place in 1999 in Poland and players play as Marianne, a woman who has the gift of being a medium, someone who can communicate with spirits of the dead as well as those from the spirit world which she can travel to. Marianne is called by a mysterious man to go Niwa Workers’ Resort, an abandoned Soviet-era resort. Once Marianne enters the grounds of the resort, it becomes clear to her that something VERY wrong happened there. Now onto the game itself! Today CAPCOM announced more details for the upcoming continuation of the first-person experience in the “Resident Evil” game series, Resident Evil: Village confirming that this is in fact the eighth entry in the main game series as it’s also being called Resident Evil 8. Along with the news comes a new trailer, details, and of course a release date! Players will be playing again as Ethan, the main protagonist from Resident Evil 7. Life for Ethan was getting back on track until Chris Redfield returned and took something precious from him, forcing Ethan to go to Europe where a large mysterious village awaits along with the horrors within. Have you’ve ever gathered around a table with your friends for a round of D&D, to cast the dice and enter a world of mages, rouges, and monsters? If the answer is yes, you will be thrilled to hear that Derek Kolstad, the writer of the John Wick franchise is bringing to life a series inspired by the game, “Dungeons & Dragons.” There is no word yet which network it will premiere on. The fantasy role-playing game, which is easily one of the largest role-playing games ever created, was first released in 1974 by game developers Ernest Gary Gygax and David Arneson. It rose to popularity in the 1980s and has gained traction once again during the pandemic due to its easy remote gameplay over services like Zoom. To play the table-top game you will need a group of friends, a “Dungeon Master” (lead storyteller), and a few supplies, including a handbook. We recommend you get a starter kit (here).
