What happens when Lovecraft meets Beksiński? You get Necrophosis: Full Consciousness. That alone should be exciting news. Unfortunately, the copy I got for the Xbox is, as the title says, an unplayable mess. I was only able to get to the second map in the game, where I’m softlocked by a puzzle. At the time of writing this, when I reported the game-crashing bug, I was told that it’s just me and that the game is fine. I call BS. I don’t know if it’s just for the Xbox that this bug happened, or if the other console ports of this game have this issue. I know the good ol’ adage of turning it off and on again is running through some of your minds, and I did just that. I did a hard restart of the game, and even restarted the main game’s story. The game break took a strange turn. Instead of restarting me at the start of

After a gory theatrical run back in February, the unapologetically brutal Satanic slasher Psycho Killer is finally making its streaming debut this Friday, May 29, 2026, on Hulu (and via the Hulu on Disney+ bundle). The film comes from the beautifully twisted mind of screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker—the same man who wrote Se7en and Sleepy Hollow—so you already know the vibe is going to be distinctly bleak, drenched in rain, and deeply concerned with human depravity. Don’t Mess with Kansas Highway Patrol Modern horror royalty Georgina Campbell (Barbarian) stars as a grieving Kansas highway patrol officer who hits the asphalt with a single, laser-focused mission: track down the man who murdered her husband. Unfortunately for her, this isn’t your run-of-the-mill hitchhiker. As her highway manhunt intensifies, she discovers that the killer

After a decade of players practically begging and pleading, the horror gaming gods have finally answered. Dead by Daylight, in a monumental partnership with Jason Universe, is officially welcoming the undisputed king of Camp Crystal Lake: Jason Voorhees. If you like your horror with a massive side of “unprocessed trauma” and a healthy dose of practical, squelching viscera, your next obsession has arrived. Independent studio ISOTRE Films and director Peter Klausner’s award-winning short film, Stomach It, made major waves at the Cannes Film Festival—and you can watch it right now from the comfort of your couch. After crushing a heavy-hitting indie festival circuit—racking up laurels at everything from Screamfest and Panic Fest to Nashville and FilmQuest—Klausner’s “punch to the gut” is finally ready for its global close-up. The Vibe: Cronenberg Meets Craven Klausner clearly isn’t interested in the clean, sanitized, CGI-heavy scares of modern jump-scare cinema. Stomach It is a blood-soaked meditation on extreme isolation that seamlessly fuses stomach-churning practical effects with psychological decay. It’s a beautifully grotesque love letter to vintage body horror that asks a terrifying question: What happens when you literally cannot stomach your own past? Cleaning Up After the Dead Starring Jon Lee Richardson

Synopsis Amidst a super virus that ravages most of the world’s population, a tenacious microbiology student (Brian K. Millard) leads a small team through a rogue planned exposure. But the human trials end tragically, taking his friends’ lives one by one and leaving potential treatments untested. As he becomes more and more isolated, the line between what’s real and what’s not begins to blur. Review I’m a hard sell on genre films inspired by — and often made during — COVID-19 lockdown, mainly because of burnout on the subgenre at this point, so when a new film about a deadly virus comes along that offers something exciting and unusual with original ideas, it gets my attention. The most recent feature film to do so is director Anthony Bushman’s Psychopomp (U.S., 2024), a horror-adjacent science fiction thriller made by Bushman and his cowriter and costar Brian K. Millard during the lockdown. Millard delivers an absolutely riveting lead performance as Theo, who

The digital panopticon just got a lot bloodier. As first reported by Fangoria, indie horror hub BloodStream has locked down the exclusive distribution rights to Game001 through Game005. It’s a multi-part, graphic horror series directed by a ghost. The films are credited entirely to “Playgame Tipplayer.” They are an anonymous filmmaker whose fiercely guarded, masked identity perfectly mirrors the faceless brutality of the movies themselves. The entire five-film cycle will drop simultaneously on June 1, 2026, exclusively for BloodStream subscribers, before expanding to wider digital platforms on August 1, 2026. The Pitch: Streaming Live From Your Nightmares The Game franchise drops viewers directly into a fractured, hyper-modern slasher setup: two female hikers cross paths with a masked killer in a remote forest. However, this isn’t a traditional walk in the woods. The perspective constantly mutates—shifting between the victims, the hunter, and various recording devices. The acts of filming, streaming, clout-chasing, and spectating are folded directly into the bloodshed. This forces

Society’s obsession with weight and appearance has always been a bit parasitic. But director Natalie Erika James (Relic) is taking that metaphor to a terrifying, literal extreme. Independent Film Company (IFC) has just released Sacchrine in theaters, a supernatural body-horror film that turns diet culture into a haunting manifestation of grief and dysmorphia. The Pitch: The Ultimate Ghost Diet The narrative follows Hana (Grey’s Anatomy star Midori Francis). She is a lovelorn medical student drowning under the weight of cultural expectations and personal shame. Desperate to alter her appearance, she falls down an underground rabbit hole and participates in an obscure, deeply disturbing weight-loss craze: processing human ashes into diet pills. Naturally, the calorie deficit comes with a massive supernatural catch. As Hana’s unhealthy compulsion takes over, she finds herself terrorized by the vengeful ghost of the exact person she’s been consuming. The trailer hints at a claustrophobic, stomach-churning descent. Watch as Hana slowly loses control of her body to
