Superman might have his hands full in the soon to be released Injustice 2, as the Prince of Hell himself, Spawn, has been teased by Ed Boon. Boon revealed they had the rights to Spawn a whole two years ago, but the demon never emerged as a fighter in the then current Mortal Kombat x (a bloody shame too, given what those fatalities might have looked like. Now however, a cryptic tweet has some fans wondering if Spawn could be released as one of the 9 dlc fighters promised for Injustice 2. Could the Bat Out of Hell be a reference to Spawn? Well my little Monsters, what started out as a difficult decision as to which wonderful Woman of Horror I should focus on quickly became a no brainier. Based on her resume, Barbara Crampton was a more than obvious choice. Barbara turned out to be a belated Christmas gift for her parents, being born on December 27th of 1958 on Long Island, New York. She grew up in Vermont, and would spend her summers trekking across the country with her father, who was employed by a traveling carnival. Barbara caught the acting bug young and started acting in school plays in the 7th grade. Her love for the art continued to grow as she studied acting at Rutland Senior High School before going on to Vermont’s Castleton State College where she would earn a Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts. Following graduation, Barbara made her way to New York, where she would appear as Cordelia in The American Theater for Actors’ production

In 1979 Ridley Scott deftly merged the genres of horror and science fiction with his legendary film, Alien. Then 57 years later, Ellen Ripley would face off against the xenomorph threat again – and this time she’d have backup. OK it was actually only 7 years later that Jim Cameron, would continue on where Scott had left off with his sequel, Aliens. And although it’s more of a sci-fi action thriller and less horror, it has a definite place in the franchise and is a classic in its own right. Then there was Alien 3, the fork in the road so to speak. This third installment was left in the hands of rookie director, David Fincher, despite the fact that they didn’t really seem to trust him enough to direct it according to his vision. Fincher cited incessant studio intrusion as the biggest reason he not only couldn’t make the film he wanted, butr was also why he walked off

Social media can be an amazing place where people can connect from all over the world. Unfortunately, it is also a place where bullies and cowards hide behind a keyboard and bug you to the point where you become so sick of the harassment that you leave or delete your account. That is exactly what has happened to one Walking Dead star. Josh McDermitt who plays the role of Eugene on the hit series The Walking Dead deleted all of his social media accounts after growing sick of near constant harassment and death threats. He posted a video just before leaving social media. This is what he had to say: Death threats, don’t send me death threats. I’m going to report all that shit to the cops. I’m sick of it. You can hate Eugene, I don’t care. I’ll argue that you are wrong, but you can think what ever you want. When you start saying you hope I die,

It seems that World War Z 2, which appeared to be dead, is now back on in its feet and ambling, albeit slowly, forward. The film which had been removed from Paramount Studio’s production calendar back in February, has yet to officially be given the go ahead. However, with David Fincher likely to be in the director’s chair for this sequel, the green light could well come within the next few weeks. Interest in Fincher to take the helm of WWZ 2 began last summer, when Brad Grey was still studio chief. Brad Pitt specifically had a keen interest in working with Fincher again, despite having spoken with a number of other potential directors. At the time it was rumored that Fincher was equally as interested with the idea of taking on such a project, which would be his first feature since Gone Girl in 2014. Pitt and Fincher have a great chemistry, having worked together on Se7en, Fight Club

Greetings, my Little Xenomorphs. Yes, I know you’re all accustomed to the moniker of Little Monsters, but today is the 26th of April or 4/26, thus making it ALIEN DAY! I trust I don’t need to explain the relevance of the number combination in relation to the movie Alien. BUT, for those of you who don’t know, it’s a reference to the planet, known as LV-426, where the crew of the star-freighter Nostromo first encountered the facehugger that “impregnated” Ash (played by the late great John Hurt). OK, that’s enough of that, because we’re here to focus on TWO wonderful Women of Horror today. That’s right, count ’em…one, two. As you can clearly see, the focus today is on the only two female female cast members of Ridley Scott’s classic 1979 film, Alien – Veronica Cartwright and Sigourney Weaver. Both of these ladies would grace the world with their presence in 1949. Veronica A. Cartwright was born on April 20th

It is with a heavy heart that I bring this bit of news to you today, my Little Monsters. Acadamy Award winning director Jonathan Demme has passed away at the age of 73 from esophageal cancer as well as complications related to heart disease. Demme was the filmmaker who would prove that a smart and sophisticated horror film could win the film industry’s top honor, and in more categories than one. People can deny it all they want and try to make it more profound than it is. But at the end of the day you have to call Silence of the Lambs what it is, Jonathan Demme’s horror masterpiece. Demme also directed another incredible film that highlighted a very different kind of horror – AIDS. With Philadelphia, Demme gave a very real and human face to this horrific disease while also displaying the prejudice and misconceptions of those who are on the outside looking in and judging those who
