Wolfgang (Robert Amstler) is an Austrian mercenary murder machine; a real bad cat who you surely would not want to cross paths with. But as nasty a customer as he is, Wolfgang has an emotional side that comes to the fore as he befriends a sick orphan girl named Maria (Leia Perez) while convalescing in the hospital after receiving some war wounds during an assignment, and becomes the father figure in her life, as well as growing close to the comely local tour guide, Lisa (Nicole Stark), he hires to help plan good times for his pint-sized charge. Of course our “hero” continues carving folks a new asshole for those sweet greenbacks…but soon he must decide between his career and protecting the innocents that need him most. Brought to life by Writer/Director Rene Perez (of Death Kiss fame…which I reviewed right here), The Punished is another fun throwback to cinema the likes of which would fill the shelves in the

The world, in particular London, is going to hell in a hand-basket due to a blood-borne disease turning folks into raving, zombie-like lunatics…but unlike the myriad of other creatures exactly like these in this overcrowded genre, these fuckers retain some memories and skill sets. Fortunately, the disease has been corralled in a quarantine zone…a zone in which resides Dr. Raynes (Robert Goodale), the asshole responsible for this whole mess, and the one voted most likely to be able to fix it! Enter Captain Marcus Stanton (Oris Erhuero) and his team of shit-kickers who are sent in to retrieve that egghead with the quickness! Will they have the stones to complete their mission and save the world, or will they lose their asses to a gaggle of marauding maniacs? While there is plenty of derivative goings-on in Redcon-1; Director/Co-Writer Chee Keong Cheung still manages to tap a few new veins here and there; most noticeably in having the fury ensconced “zombies”

If there’s two things that cats what love the horror biz dig it’s arcane anthologies and zombies…so it stands to reason that many of you boils n’ ghouls would be curious to check out a flick that combines those things right? Well, you’re in luck because the flick I’m slapping my putrid peepers on today, Virus of the Dead, is an anthology that weaves together multiple (and I mean multiple) tiny terror tales together to present various views of a world balls deep in the middle of a zombie holocaust! Running through the film is a constant, that folks will simply not give up their vain phone usage and social media no matter how many frothing gut-munchers are at the door. It’s a good carry through, and sadly realistic…but whateves; it gives us a fly on the wall view of all that shamblin’ dead chaos that unspools for nearly 2 hours over fifteen sinister segments. Let’s face it, there have been a lot of films based on real serial killers over the past couple of years. On killer seems to be more popular than others, Charles Manson. Maybe it’s because his and his “family’s” is the most intriguing case. Director Mary Harron set out to tell the Manson Family’s tale from a unique angle in Charlie Says. The film centers on Leslie Van Houten (Hannah Murray) who joins the Manson Family, a path that turns her from an innocent girl into a convicted killer. Charles Manson (Matt Smith) sends her to commit the LaBianca murders. Van Houten, Susan Atkins (Marianne Redón), and Patricia Krenwinkel (Sosie Bacon). Sad sackin’ Rebecca (Katherine Munroe) went and dicked around with ye olde spirit board, and now she is the subject of demonic static hounding her ass 24 fucking 7! Of course everyone thinks she’s a bullshit artist, so she sets up a webcam to document her descent into the possession biz. Now things start prosaic enough; objects move around of their own accord, the telephone delivers the screams of the damned…shit my ass calls a Tuesday, but may be disturbing to boils n’ ghouls like you lot…anyway, Rebecca’s body soon starts degrading (courtesy of some solid make-up effects) as the evil within her grows…and wouldn’t you know it, she makes mistake numero uno and reads the fucking comments…so she has to deal with a shitty complexion and trolls; rough seas bro. Of course things continue to escalate to the point where we have to ask: “Will Becky have the sack to survive this otherworldly visitation, or will we witness her

A few years back, a young girl witnesses ghoulish goods out in the woods (in her rural home to be more precise). Flash forward to the present day, and a group of New York City goofs decide to ditch the rat race of Metropolis for a tick and haul ass to the family homestead of their pal Nicole (Lindsay Eshelman) located in East Asshair…wait a minute…could that opening sequence have been foreshadowing? I’m like the G0-Gos with that shit…my lips are sealed boils n’ ghouls! Once there they meet the local yokels, who are weird A.F., but things get even more ass over tea-kettle as soon the ol’ stalk n’ slay bag begins as a killer is walkin’ them there woods and soon the blood starts a-flowin’ and the struggle to survive kicks into high gear! As you can tell from that sinister synopsis up yonder, Don’t Look will not blow up the horror biz with it’s balls shattering originality,

Wow, just wow. What can I say about the last episode (8/3) of “Game of Thrones”, which may very well be the most intense episode of a series ever aired? Many of us experienced a gambit of emotions. We were left in awe, heartbroken, and even had a moment of celebration in the end. Let’s talk about it. Please stop reading now if you have not seen it. There are MAJOR spoilers ahead! Let’s go ahead and get the problems with the episode out of the way. It’s simple, there was only one issue I had, the battlefield was too dark to see much of the action. It was a waste. Of course that kind of quality causes plenty of buzz, and soon Agent Dick (Joe Estevez) is on the case to make sure Daddy and his and his adopted family; the comely crew comprised of Laura (Siarra T. Mong), Lola (Brenda Whitehead), and Lenore (Fiona Domenica) go down right quick…especially when word gets out that Daddy’s product is making folks go completely insane. Will B>D. be able to protect his livelihood from the DEA comin’ to get him, or will his entire operation go up in smoke? Let’s start with what works in High on the Hog‘s favor (and I have to tell ya; it’s one short list).
