[FILM REVIEW] SpaghettiMan’ Is Reminiscent To Deadpool’ In A Good Way

In the wake of the box office hit starring Ryan Reynolds, adapted from a Marvel Comic (written/illustrated by Rob Liefeld and Fabien Nicieza), Deadpool, Spaghettiman’ was born. The film in which I felt nearly took the modern era comedy streak Deadpool dabbled with and tweaked it for its own good. And it worked. The outrageous story of man becoming a hero from eating a bowl of old-spaghetti warmed through an defective microwave proved to be a laugh riot! The super film, bestowed to this reviewer a perfectly casted and well rounded film that begs for a sequel, but will one really do it justice? Films like these seem to do quite good with out one. Though, the performance by Benjamin Crutcher did particularly make this reviewer reminsiant of that of Ryan Reynolds’ performance in Deadpool’, whether it be the script or actor. Spaghettiman’ though some would say “is too ridiculous to be a film concept” proved to be a laugh

WEBCAST Is an Intriguing and Compelling Film, Steeped in Homage

Webcast Directed by Paul McGhie Starring – Samantha Redford as Chloe Webber, Joseph Tremain as Ed Dickens and Nicola Wright as Kimberly Webber “The biggest fool is the one who minds the business of others rather than minding his very own.” – Amit Abraham Chloe is a young woman who has a somewhat morbid curiosity about her Aunt Amelia, who went missing many years ago. This interest has inspired Chloe to enlist her friend Ed to assist in creating a documentary about her Aunt. She decides that her grandfather’s birthday party will offer her many guests with an abundant, collective of knowledge pertaining to her subject. While some are willing to oblige her with information about Amelia’s past and her disappearance, some are equally and understandably reticent. A Review Of The Outbreak Thriller ‘Viral’

From Directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman comes ‘Viral‘, the outbreak thriller starring Analeigh Tipton, Sophia Black-D’Elia, Michael Kelly, Brianne Howey, Judyann Elder, John Cothran, Jay Hieron, and Machine Gun Kelly, with Jason Blum of Blumhouse producing. In the film, two teenaged sisters Emma (D’Elia) and Stacey (Tipton) live a normal life, until their small suburban neighborhood is stricken with a mysterious parasitic virus. As the disease rapidly spreads throughout the town, the two band together to barricade themselves in and away from the infection. But it may already be too late – when the virus enters their home, the sisters are forced with an impossible choice: protect each other, or survive the virus. To be honest, I didn’t have high hopes for ‘Viral’. Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised. The story was fresh and unique. The special effects were kept to a minimum and that was a fantastic choice. Too many films rely on heavy CGI to make the movie

Coffee Shop of Horrors’ Scary Good – A Review

There is something you should know about me, I’m a coffee snob and a caffeine addict. You won’t find a bag of Folgers in my house. There are two things I don’t do cheap, toilet paper and coffee. Both are necessities in my life, but we aren’t here to talk toilet paper. Recently a friend of mine introduced me to a coffee shop and company by the name of ‘Coffee Shop of Horrors’. What could be better than two of my favorite things combined, horror and coffee? ‘Coffee Shop of Horrors’, owned by Roxana Stan, has a store/cafe located on Lakeside Drive in Montverde, Florida. They also a website with a ton of choices and something to please every type of caffeine connoisseur. Every bag and blend is inspired by a horror film, character or book. How cool is that? I tried out their “Bubba the Redneck Werewolf’s Spiced Bourbon” and compared it side by side to a bag of

HEIR, From Fatal Pictures, Is A Truly Disturbing Short Film

HEIR Written and Directed by Richard Powell Starring – Bill Oberst Jr. as Denis, Robert Nolan as Gordon and Mateo D’Avino as Paul . Everyone has desires, nobody is exempt from this. Some of these desires are beyond the pale, and are considered to be taboo or even perverse. Gordon has such a yearning he wishes to fulfill and makes arrangements with another party, so to do. What is more – he intends to involve his own son. With his son (or shall we say heir) Paul in tow, Gordon heads to the restaurant that was chosen as a meeting place. There Gordon and Paul meet Denis, who is supposedly an old friend of Gordon’s. After a quick getting to know you period, they all head Back to Denis’ house to further “socialize” That, which Denis and Gordon have planned, is unsettling. But it’s that which Gordon didn’t plan for, that is really horrific. I have never reviewed a short

Movie Review: Summer Camp (2015)

Director Alberto Marini’s 2015 ‘Summer Camp‘, co-written by Danielle Schleif, has just made it to Netflix’s DVD library. I’ve been wanting to see it and last night I finally did. The film begins with four camp counselors (3 American), played by Diego Boneta (Scream Queens), Jocelin Donahue (Insidious: Chapter 2), Maiara Walsh (Zombieland) and Andres Velencoso, getting ready the day before the camp’s opening. Things begin to go very wrong when one of the camp’s dogs seems to go rabid. What the councilors don’t know is that it is not rabies, but something worse. While in the wine cellars, the two guys get into a fight after one begins to attack while black ooze drips from his mouth. In the struggle one is killed. Soon another councilor begins to have the same symptoms, aggression and a taste for blood. Now the group is in all out fight for survival. Unfortunately, ‘Summer Camp’ plays out like many camp horror films do.

Movie Review: Beta Test Needs Some Serious Upgrades.

Beta Test Written and Directed by: Nicholas Gyeney Starring: Manu Bennet, Larenz Tate, Linden Ashby, Sara Coates The correlation of violence in video games leading to violent behavior in real life – it’s a hotly debated topic everyone has an opinion on, whether they’ll admit it or not. Andrew Kincaid, the big boss at a gaming industry giant called Sentinel. is no different. Kincaid thinks that guns in games can be more therapeutic than harmful. His rationale being that the digital release of aggression can be cathartic, making it less likely that said aggression will pour over into the real world. Kincaid and Sentinel’s chief security officer, Orson Creed, seem to be at odds on this issue. Creed is rumored to be pushing for Sentinel to be contractors, creating tech for military use. Kincaid is focused rather on giving players the highest level of game interactivity, and Creed is about to find out just how interactive it can get. A

The latest episode picked up with the hours after this occurrence [The Killer drowning Zoe and Maggie then leaving a note to the Killer to test if he really was the OG Killer/ex-lover from the OG massacre] which held the Killer entering the Duval house with a key —so right there you uncovered the Killer is somewhat close to the Duval’s to even HAVE a key—, Emma waking up to finding signs the Killer was in the house grabbed a pair of scissors for defense, but to her surprise she was only met by the haunting appearance of to a necklace with her name carved into a wideled heart hung on it, just like the OG Killer (a.k.a Brandon James) 20 years earlier gave to her mother Maggie. [REVIEW] Hell Town’ Says F-U DayTime Soaps!

Hell Town hosted by Horror Icon Debby Rochon, wasn’t a disappointment. In fact it made me laugh from the very beginning. Our sexy, gothic host most certainly rung in the bewitching season which is soon approaching (sort of soon) with her announcement that the screening, which was a brief series of episodes, was in fact dug up from a cemetery. Following the story line of a jealous sister, a town flewsy, a conflicted homosexual man, the troubling truth a comatose mother wouldn’t awake from her coma and a rising body count. The series brought laughs, bloodshed and drama in the most spook-tastic way. Combining a cast of willing and talented actors, with a decent script by Michael Balderson (who also serves as director), Michael Page, Chris Pudlo and Elizabeth Spear, the horror-soap managed to not only be a classic whodunnit but also, a major F-U to your fav daytime soaps. Hell Town will be available on the below platforms on

Minstrel’s Bargain by Richard Ayre – Heart-pounding pulp horror!

Minstrel’s Bargain by Richard Ayre was a book I’d been wanting to read for quite a while. Richard has three books to his credit, the most notable of which to our readers here at Horror Fuel is Bad Neighborhood, the multi-author horror anthology I put together with the help of a Kickstarter campaign last year. With that said, going in I was only loosely familiar with the author’s work, and wasn’t quite sure of what to expect from something which promised to be “heart-pounding pulp horror”. In recent years, “pulp” has been a catch all term, and the book description didn’t give me much to go on. With that said, I know from personal experience reading and writing Richard’s work in the past that he’s an excellent writer, so I was optimistic despite the sparse description. After-all, the cover was creepy enough. Book Description: Newcastle 1988. Reporter Phil Sturgess is intrigued by an up and coming rock band. Their music
