Cursed Films, the original five-part documentary series from streaming service Shudder, strives to examine the facts behind the rumors and the tragic events that affected the making of some beloved classic horror movies produced in the 1970s and 1980s. These cinematic offerings have been deemed cursed, often because of urban legend and gossip. After launching with impressive episodes about The Exorcist, Poltergeist, and The Omen that offered rational considerations of their topics, the series wraps up with equally engaging looks at The Crow and Twilight Zone: The Movie. As he did so well regarding the tragic deaths of young stars Heather O’Rourke and Dominique Dunne in the Cursed Films: Poltergeist installment, series writer/director/editor Jay Cheel once again provides poignant, respectful views on how on-set deaths and accidents affect those close to the victims — from those who worked with Brandon Lee on The Crow and with Vic Morrow and the two young child actors on Twilight Zone: The Movie to

Fantasy Island begins exactly like any episode of it’s late ’70s boob-tube classic namesake did; namely a plane arrives on a gorgeous tropical island filled with folks looking to have their greatest wish granted by the island’s suave owner Mr. Roarke (Michael Peña stepping in for the late Ricardo Montalban) via… well, who the fuck knows… but he can do it, or rather the island can, and once a fantasy starts you must not end it. The fantasies are pretty standard on their surface level; a non-stop sex and drug fueled party, a second chance at happiness, a chance to be a soldier (okay, that’s a bit out of left fuckin’ field, but there’s another angle present that makes it reasonable), and revenge against a horrendous childhood bully… except where on the original show things usually didn’t end up balls deep in the horror biz, here that is exactly what happens! Soon our harried heroes and heroines find themselves in

Which one did you watch?” Horror Fuel: “I watched the episode with Boy Repunzel.” J.J. Villard: “Oh [laughter]. That one’s a trip.” Horror Fuel: “Yes it is. One good thing has come out of people being stuck in isolation and quarantine, creative, funny videos. One of the best, in my opinion, is the recreation of the iconic dinner scene from Beetlejuice where the family and their friends break into a dance to the tune of ‘DAY-O’. The video posted by Gelsey Laurie features a father and daughter duo playing multiple roles along with some clever editing. The original scene can be seen playing in the lower right corner for comparison. And let’s be honest, they absolutely nailed it! The video is one of many posted by the duo. Other recreations include the Time Warp scene from Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Tigers Are Not Afraid director Issa López is teaming up with Guillermo del Toro for a currently untitled werewolf western (yes, you read that right). López has now teased that the horror film as being very dark, very violent, and a ton of fun. During a conversation with Collider, she stated, “We started looking at options and he came to me with this idea for a werewolf western and I loved it because who would think of a werewolf western directed by a Mexican woman director? It’s such an odd combination. I would definitely want to see that! And I always want to make good movies that I want to see. So it is very dark, it’s violent and fun!” “Tigers Are Not Afraid is a haunting horror fairytale set against the backdrop of Mexico’s devastating drug wars. The film follows a group of orphaned children who are unexpectedly given three magical wishes. As they run from the cartel that

Thanks to the Coronavirus production has been put on hold for a lot of films and series. Unfortunately, “Stranger Things” is on that list. Production of season four has been put on hold, but that’s not going to stop the cast from giving fans a taste of what will come this season. In the season three finale, it appeared that David Harbour‘s Jim Hopper had sacrificed himself. Thankfully the season four teaser has revealed that our favorite father figure survived and now finds himself imprisoned in Russia while back in the U.S., “a new horror is beginning to surface, something long-buried, something that connects everything.” A video has just surfaced of David Harbour during an audience Q&A while at Liverpool Comic-Con revealing that the back story of Jim Hopper will be a major point this season. In season two, Eleven goes into the basement of the cabin and there’s five boxes, one of which has Brenner’s stuff from Hawkins Lab,
