'Insidious: The Red Door' Coming To Blu-Ray

Mostly Spoiler Free Review: ‘Insidious: The Red Door’

I’ve followed the Insidious franchise since it first premiered back in 2010. I love supernatural horror. This weekend I popped a bag of popcorn and settled in to watch Insidious: The Red Door, and I have a few thoughts. Warning, mild spoilers. Set nine years after the original film, the sequel sees Dalton, played by Ty Simpkins, who reprises his role from the first film, is heading off to college, driven to school by his father, Josh (Patrick Wilson), in what is an incredibly awkward ride. Dalton and his father have a strained relationship, with Josh not being around much as the kid has grown up after Josh and his wife divorced, and Josh’s head has been in a fog, thanks to the fact that both father and son were hypnotized to forget the events in the first film. The action kicks off after Dalton’s art professor makes the class count down from ten. Suddenly, Dalton and Josh begin to

Franchise Creator Teases ‘Final Destination 6’

The Final Destination franchise never fails to deliver some of the most interesting kills in the horror genre. A few months ago, we were happy to report that after more than ten years, a new installment is on the way. While recently speaking with Collider, franchise creator Jeffrey Reddick gave fans a little tease of what we can expect, including that Final Destination 6 will add a whole new layer to the franchise we love. “This film dives into the film in such a unique way that it attacks it from a different angle so you don’t feel like, ‘Oh, there’s an amazing setup and then there’s gonna be one wrinkle that can potentially save you all that you have to kind of make a moral choice about or do to solve it.’ There’s an expansion of the universe that – I’m being so careful,” Reddick teases. He continues saying, “It kind of unearths a whole deep layer to the

‘Cocaine Bear’ Sinks Its Teeth Into Prime Video

One of the wildest movies released this year is Cocaine Bear (review). If you haven’t had the chance to see it yet, we have great news; it’s finally coming to Prime Video after premiering on Peacock and AppleTV this past April. Directed by Elizabeth Banks (“The Boys”), the movie finds an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists, and teens converging in a Georgia forest where a 500-pound predator has ingested a staggering amount of cocaine and gone on a coke-fueled rampage for more blow … and blood. The craziest part? The movie was inspired by a true story. Keri Russell, Ray Liotta, Alden Ehrenreich, O’Shea Jackson, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson star in this fun flick written by Jimmy Warden (The Babysitter: Killer Queen). The movie was such a hit that it has gone on to inspire a myriad of drug-fueled creature features such as Cocaine Cougar, Cocaine Shark, and Meth Gator.
