Netflix’s Action Thriller ‘Kate’ Snags ‘Huntsman: Winter’s War’ Director

Netflix continues to add their original library. The streaming giant has snagged Cedric Nicolas-Troyan (The Huntsman: Winter’s War) to direct their upcoming action thriller Kate, THR reports. According to the site, “The script by Umair Aleem follows a female assassin who, after being poisoned and with less than 24 hours to live, goes on a manhunt through the streets of Tokyo to take vengeance on her murderer before she dies.” Screen Arcade’s Bryan Unkeless (I, Tonya) and Kelly McCormick (Atomic Blonde) of 87eleven are producing Kate with Deadpool 2 director David Leitch and Scott Morgan are executive producing. Filming for Kate is set to begin in 2019.

Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina’s Season 2 Premiere Date Announced In New Teaser

Netflix’s “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” will cast a spell on fans during its second season whose premiere date has been revealed in a new teaser. The second season will feature nine episodes filled with devilish fun, frights, and delights. Now that Sabrina has signed her name in the Book of the Beast things are guaranteed to be darker and more disturbing. The new teaser kicks off with a nod to “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch” that ran from 1996 to 2003. You might remember Melissa Joan Hart’s character playing magical dress-up in her mirror. Colin Ford Stars In Netflix’s Upcoming Series “Daybreak”

Netflix has a slew of new series coming in 2019, including the sci-fi horror series “Daybreak” set in post-apocalyptic California. A mix of drama and horror, with a hint of Mad Max, the 10 episode first season follows a teenage boy, played by Colin Ford (Supernatural, Teen Wolf, Under the Dome), as he roams with a group of misfits. The series also stars Matthew Broderick, Austin Crute, Jeanté Godluck, Gregory Kasyan, Cody Kearsley, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Krysta Rodriguez, Sophie Simnett, and Rob Roy. in the series, high school outcast Josh (Ford) is searching for his missing girlfriend in post-apocalyptic Glendale. He’s joined by a group of misfits. During their mission, the group encounters strange and frightening events. Pajamas, popcorn, Netflix, and True Crime…sounds like a great night in, to me. If that sounds like a great way to spend a chilly night to you too, we’ve got your next series to binge, “The Innocent Man”. The series is based on the non-fiction book The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town by John Grisham which documents two murders in the small town of Ada, Oklahoma in the ’80s. In the docu-series directed by Clay Tweel, the residents of the town are interviewed along with the two victim’s friends and family. Evidence and the murders themselves are also examined. As a filmmaker, I often find that the best stories are the ones we tell ourselves, but what surprised me was the extent to which that idea also permeated the criminal justice system. The Second season of Netflix’s “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” is currently in production and is expected to premiere next year on the streaming giant. Alice (Madeline Brewer) makes her livin’ showing the goods on her softcore live-streaming channel, but things are getting stale and numbers are dropping so she does what one does and pulls macabre stunts (such as everyone’s favorite hoary ol’ chestnut; a fake suicide) and goes further and further with her sexual content. This definitely gets more eyes on her site, but it also brings an ever increasing amount of creeper clientele. This November Daniel Goldhaber and Isa Mazzei‘s tech-driven thriller CAM is set to premiere on Netflix and in select Alamo Drafthouse theaters. From the Oscar-winning producers of Get Out comes the film set in the world of webcam porn.
