Hell Town hosted by Horror Icon Debby Rochon, wasn’t a disappointment. In fact it made me laugh from the very beginning. Our sexy, gothic host most certainly rung in the bewitching season which is soon approaching (sort of soon) with her announcement that the screening, which was a brief series of episodes, was in fact dug up from a cemetery. Following the story line of a jealous sister, a town flewsy, a conflicted homosexual man, the troubling truth a comatose mother wouldn’t awake from her coma and a rising body count. The series brought laughs, bloodshed and drama in the most spook-tastic way. Combining a cast of willing and talented actors, with a decent script by Michael Balderson (who also serves as director), Michael Page, Chris Pudlo and Elizabeth Spear, the horror-soap managed to not only be a classic whodunnit but also, a major F-U to your fav daytime soaps. Hell Town will be available on the below platforms on

Another 80’s horror flick is being rebooted. This time it’s 1988’s supernatural film Pumpkinhead. EW is reporting that Peter Block, the executive producer of the Saw franchise, has picked up the rights to Pumpkinhead and has a script penned by Nate Atkins. Block is currently searching for a director for the reboot, which he will produce. And hopes to begin filming early next year, using practical effects like in the original. Pumpkinhead is one of my favorite horror films of the late ’80s, early ’90s,” Block said. “Stan Winston sits on that Mount Rushmore of iconic filmmakers because of his creature designs, and that was his first directing effort. The creature’s great but the emotional story is wonderful as well. I got the rights to Pumpkinhead, and hooked up with a great young writer called Nate Atkins, and we developed our script, which is really solid. The original film starred Lance Henricksen (Aliens) as a man, living deep in the

If you Google “80’s Horror”, one of the first movies that’s going to pop up is Clive Barker’s Hellraiser, along with it’s multiple (and extremely varying) sequels. Hellraiser is a Horror Film’s Horror Film. It’s a movie that any horror aficionado worth his or her salt knows and appreciates. Personally, it’s my favorite horror film (well- it’s really a three way tie between Hellraiser, Evil Dead 2, and Reanimator, but there’s time for that later.) so I couldn’t think of a better way to kick of this #Odeto80sHorror than by exploring Kirsty Cotton and her Cenobite counterparts. WHERE IT CAME FROM: The original 1987 Hellraiser film was an adapted from noted horror author Clive Barker’s novella The Hellbound Heart (it’s a quick read; I highly recommend it.) Barker would also direct the 1987 film. The screenplay adapts a romantic relationship into a father/daughter relationship, and our heroine, the young and scrappy Kirsty Cotton (played by a young Ashley Lawrence) ,

They’re Watching follows a home improvement show as they travel to a remote Eastern European village. When the crew returns six months after a couple buys a fixer-upper to film an update, they discover that the town is a very strange place and the superstitious villagers seem to follow them where ever they go. After two of the crew accidentally interrupt and record a funeral things get even more tense. Not everything is as it seems. The film stars Mia Faith, Kris Lemche, David Alpay, Carrie Genzel, Dimitri Diatchenko, Christian Balint, and Alin Popa, among others. The film started out great. There was a real story there, but as the film continues problems arise. First, one of the main characters, Alex, turns annoying quick. Then when the show’s
