Bethesda just announced today that their terrifying game The Evil Within 2 got a free update, you can now play the game in first-person. The game is normally thirdperson, but in one part of the game, where players must navigate a trap-filled maze while avoiding a stalking enemy, it’s in first-person. Players really liked the added tension the first person perspective gave; some who played the game on PC found a way to glitch it so the whole game could be played that way.

The developers were not upset by this but instead embraced it and made the update for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Players who don’t own the game yet are able to try a free demo of the newly updated game and play the first couple of chapters, to add to this awesome gift the saved data from the demo will be transferred over to the full game if the player chooses to get the whole game. Don’t worry, for those of you who would rather play in third-person, there are options in the settings menu that allows you to switch between first or third-person views. So in the end, everyone wins!
