Almost two weeks ago it was announced that The Evil Within 2 was getting a free update that would allow players to play the game in a first-person style view. For those who are not familiar with the overall premise of the story, here’s a bit of a breakdown. The Evil Within games are a cross between Silent Hill and The Matrix where you play as Sebastian Castellanos who in the first game was a police detective while in the sequel is now “former” detective. Sebastian is in a virtual world that was made possible by a machine called STEM, the machine operates with a “core”, a human acting as a battery, the first game it was a man named Ruvik, the inventor of STEM and a sadistic psychopath who’s twisted mind affected the world inside STEM turning some of those who were plugged into the world to turn into zombie-like creatures. Bethesda just announced today that their terrifying game The Evil Within 2 got a free update, you can now play the game in first-person. The game is normally third–person, but in one part of the game, where players must navigate a trap-filled maze while avoiding a stalking enemy, it’s in first-person. Players really liked the added tension the first person perspective gave; some who played the game on PC found a way to glitch it so the whole game could be played that way. The developers were not upset by this but instead embraced it and made the update for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Players who don’t own the game yet are able to try a free demo of the newly updated game and play the first couple of chapters, to add to this awesome gift the saved data from the demo will be transferred over to the full game if the player chooses to get the whole

Darriil Arts brings the terror in the soon to be released horror game, Remothered: Tormented Fathers a survival horror game resembling The Evil Within, Clock Tower, and Amnesia, in mechanics and style. You not only have to investigate to uncover the truth but you have to hide from enemies and use button smash techniques to survive your encounters with enemies. Players take on the role of Rosemary Reed, visiting Dr. Felton who’s sick with an unknown illness and is being cared for by a nurse named Gloria. Rosemary’s true reasoning behind coming to Felton’s home will turn her visit into a nightmare as Rosemary begins to investigate the disappearance of Felton’s daughter Celeste. Does the title The Evil Within ring a bell? No, not the game. After 15 years of production, The Evil Within has finally been released. No, that’s not a typo. The film took 15 years to make. What’s even stranger than the long production time is the story behind the film. Andrew Getty, heir to the Getty oil fortune and grandson of J. Paul Getty, wrote, directed and invested $6 million of his own money into the movie. Principal photography, which began in 2002, would start and stop, taking 5 years to complete. Getty insisted on making his own camera rigs, animatronics and sets. He worked on tweaking the film all the way up to his death on March 31, 2015 in an attempt to reach perfection. Sean Patrick Flannery, Michael Berryman, Fred Kochler, Brianna Brown and Dina Meyer star in the film, inspired by Getty’s own nightmares, which centers on a mentally challenged boy whose dreams are invaded by
