A pair of friends must fight to survive their new home in Room 203. Japan’s Ammo Inc., California-based Ammo Entertainment, and Vertical Entertainment have just announced the limited theatrical and VOD release of Ben Jagger‘s Room 203, based on the J-horror novel by Nanami Kamon. “After lifelong friends, Kim and Izzy move into Room 203, a quirky apartment with a creepy medieval stained glass window, Kim slowly becomes convinced that their new home may be haunted. Dive down the rabbit hole with Straight to VHS, a documentary that attempts to unveil the mysteries of Uruguay’s most notorious cult film and its director. Direct-to-video oddities flourished in the ’80s. VHS tapes were cheap, and they gave a gritty platform to filmmakers in every nook and cranny, allowing them to prolifically produce entertainment that defied most cinematic conventions. Fast forward to Uruguay in 1988, when an enigmatic and mercurial director, Manuel Lamas, put an indelible stamp on the industry with ACTO DE VIOLENCIA EN UNA JOVEN PERIODISTA (also known as ACT OF VIOLENCE IN A YOUNG JOURNALIST), a low-budget release that quickly gained fame as Uruguay’s first direct-to-video thriller. ‘My Bloody Valentine’ Board Game Is Live Now On KickStarter

My Bloody Valentine: The Game is the second installment in the Stop the Killer game series, produced by Anthony Masi in conjunction with Fright-Rags, following the wildly successful launch of Silent Night, Deadly Night: The Game. The board game is live now on Kickstarter where those who pledge will be able to pre-order the game! 1-4 players move around the board and collect weapons, draw cards, work around roadblocks, use the secret mine tunnel, and try not to get their hearts broken all while trying to stop Harry Warden, the miner killer, from reaching the Valentine’s day dance. Born in Afghanistan, Ali Akbar made his way to Canada where he studied Film Production at Toronto Film School. He has successfully written and directed many short films. In 2016 Ali directed his first feature film Faceless which was shot in Kabul Afghanistan followed by Godforsaken which has just been released on VOD by Terror Films. In the film, an Indie doc crew travels to a small town to document a bizarre and seemingly unnatural case, ending in extreme tragedy. When did you come up with the idea for Godforsaken? I always had an interest in religion and how it affects individuals. As a child in Uzbekistan n I was told a story about someone who came back to life at their own funeral – they acted strangely and then died again.
