Designed to subvert classic horror tropes by centering everyday people and diverse perspectives, the half-hour series taps into universal primal fears while tackling provocative social and cultural issues within our modern society.” “Two Sentence Horror Stories” was created and written by Vera Miao, who executive produces alongside Liz Levine. Pornsak Pichetshote co-executive producers with Shawn Angelski producing. The series is from the six-time EMMY® award-nominated, award-winning studio Stage 13. The Movie Partnership has just released the new poster as well the trailer for their upcoming action-packed Neo-Noir thriller, American Night. The film includes a star-studded cast of Jonathan Rhys Meyers (“The Tudors,” “Vikings”), Emile Hirsch (Once Upon A Time In Hollywood), Jeremy Piven (Mr. Selfridge / Entourage), Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill), and Paz Vega (Rambo: Last Blood. “The OA”). Set to be released this January, Stoker Hills, from director Benjamin Louis and writer Jonah Kuehner, has a new trailer that reveals a serial killer is on the hunt. “In the secluded town of Stoker Hills, three college students find themselves in their worst nightmare when they set out to film a horror movie and are kidnapped by a serial killer. Their only hope for survival is the camera they left behind and the two detectives looking for clues in the footage.” Horror icon Tony Todd stars alongside Danny Nucci, John Beasley, David Gridley, Vince Hill-Bedford, Eric Etebari, William Lee Scott, Steffani Brass, Tyler Clark, and Jason Sweat. The film is produced by Timothy Christian (Z for Zachariah) and Rab Butler (Wilding) of Night Fox Entertainment, and Benjamin Louis. Night Fox Entertainment was also the lead financier of the film. One thing’s for sure: There’s been no shortage of horror films over the years. Indeed, it’s extraordinary to think that the project widely regarded as the first-ever “horror” film was a three-minute short recorded in 1896! Le Manoir du Diable (or The House of the Devil as it was known across America) was crafted by George Méliès. And as Far Out Magazine alluded to looking into the film’s history, its reputation stems largely from its having the first scene depicting the transformation of a man into a bat –– the first vampire scene. Perhaps it’s not overly frightening to watch now, but it certainly highlights the power of a scene (as well as how far the horror genre has come in terms of special effects and blood-curdling storylines!). Genre distributor TERROR FILMS has now officially announced the launch of their YouTube AVOD channel in 2022 with two new releases. The first film out of the gate will be Isaac Rodriguez’s found-footage horror film, Last Radio Call on January 14th, followed by Kipp Tribble’s home invasion horror film, Evil At the Door on January 21st. The films will premiere exclusively on the Terror Films channel featuring a live chat event with the filmmakers, cast, and fans during the premiere. The films will be released wide, across Digital and VOD platforms one week later after their premieres. The film’s producers teamed up with Fright-Rags Inc. to make a Kickstarter to help bring this fun vision to life! 1-4 players can team up and try to stop Billy, the Santa-dressed killer, from killing Mother Superior at the Orphanage! Play as Andy, Denise, Mr. Simms, or Sister Margret to try and foil Billy’s plan all the while risking yourself in the process. Players will have to try to set up roadblocks to slow Billy down while drawing action cards featuring moments from the film. The board will be double-sided with a Naughty and Nice side, the nice side being the standard game while the Naughty side is set up as a drinking game!
