From actor, writer, director, and producer Hunter G.Williams (pictured), An American Werewolf in Rome will pay tribute to the classic 1981 film while offering its own unique spin on the lycanthrope sub-genre. This June Chad Ferrin‘s award-winning film The Deep Ones will unleash a tale that explores the depths of fellowship and motherhood, featuring aspects of H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulu mythos. Many upcoming films have had trouble nailing down release dates since the pandemic, causing release dates to change over and over again. One of those films is Marvel’s Morbius. Last we reported Morbius was set to be released on January 21, 2020. Now news has come that the movie has been delayed again, this time by a week. Part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Morbius stars Jared Leto as Michael Morbius, a scientist who, while trying to find a cure for a rare blood disease, accidentally transforms himself into a living vampire. Though disgusted by his own bloodlust, he chooses to prey upon criminals he deems unworthy of life. Tyrese Gibson stars as FBI agent Simon Stroud; Jared Harris (“The Terror”) plays Morbius’ mentor; Matt Smith (“Doctor Who”) plays the film’s villain Loxias Crown; and Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim: Uprising) is Morbius’ love interest.
