Travel Channel and the Ghost Adventures team are taking viewers into the infamous, reportedly haunted and cursed Cecil Hotel for an investigation. The special will be the first to air on the new Discovery+ streaming service. Stationed along downtown Los Angeles’ Main Street stands an infamous hotel with a checkered past beset by multiple suicides, murders, devil-worshipping serial killers. Perhaps it is most known for the recent mysterious death of a young girl named Elisa Lam, whose body was found in the hotel’s water tower without any explanation as to what may have happened. Patricia (Peggy Schott) is one of those long sufferin’ artist types, but her problems are going to expand 666-fold as she acquires a cursed chain (which has been around since those days of covered wagons and rampant dysentery) which ends up resulting in a serious case of the deaths for anyone unlucky enough to come in possession of those loathsome links! Can Pat get her shit together and end the curse? Special effects wizard turned director Eric Pham and screenwriter Matthew Daley, aren’t exactly re-inventing the wicked wheel with Flay; this is your typical ancient curse causes mayhem in the modern day yarn at it’s heart… but goddamn do they manage to keep things fresh! To wit: the way the curse spreads here is rather inventive, as the links of the chain (which were given that ol’ wild whammy by an imprisoned Native American shaman) give anyone that touches them a permanent bad day, and since our heroine has utilized

We’ve got the first images and the trailer from season two that tease Season two “takes a supernatural turn with a darker future for all lying ahead as Leanne returns to the brownstone and her true nature is revealed.” Series regulars Lauren Ambrose, Toby Kebbell, Nell Tiger Free, and Rupert Grint will all be returning to reprise their roles. Created by executive producer and writer Tony Basgallop, the series is also executive produced by Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan, Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch. SadSquare Studio was awesome enough to let me experience the long-awaited spiritual successor to P.T. that had fans of the playable teaser excited, I’m talking about Visage. I got the game on Halloween but unfortunately, I have had issues with it at first but I simply had to just start a new game and now everything seems to be working fine, let’s see the faces of death in Visage. Visage is about a man named Dwayne Anderson who is alone in his house, his family not present, and strange things start to occur in the house leading Dwayne to encounter hostile ghosts, and visions of past families that have lived in the house and met tragic ends. Now onto the game itself. The controls of Visage are very involved (for a controller) as you have to use different combinations of controller buttons to look at, pick up, switch hands, store, drop, items you encounter in the game. Ol’ Edna (Robyn Nevin) mafes like a banana and splits, her daughter Kay (Emily Mortimer) and granddaughter Sam (Bella Heathcote) arrive at her remote rural home and begin piecing together that Edna’s dementia has increased a thousandfold. Edna soon reappears, but has no idea of where she has been (or isn’t allowed to say) which bothers Kay six ways to Sunday, even though Sam is over the moon to have her nana back safe and sound. Of course this is a fright flick, and Edna soon becomes all fired up which leads Kay and Sam to believe there may be a strange presence behind her actions (and the strange sounds and dreams they experience just add fuel to that fire)! The holiday known as Halloween originated with two separate festivals, the Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced Sow-en) and the Christian’s All Saints Day. Celts from Britain and Ireland celebrated “Samhain” (Summer’s End) as far back as 2,000 years ago. This was the time when they held festivals celebrating the dead, the harvest, and the beginning of the new year (November 1st). The Celts believed that on the night before the new year the veil between the world of the living and the world of the dead was at its thinnest. On that night it was believed that the dead returned as ghosts. At sun-down people donned costumes and masks, huge bonfires were lit, people gathered around with many dancing around the fire, as sacrifices were made. All to pay tribute to the Celtic deities. Ahh, the ho-ho-holidays, a time of gift givin’, merry makin’, and eating tons of fucking food. Speaking of which, that is precisely what’s on the agenda for Jack (Neal Ward) and Lucy (Samantha Loxley); a sickeningly in-love young couple who are set to have a nice meal with their neighbors Michael (Frank Jakeman), Cassie (Jennifer K. Preston), and their offspring; Eric (Lee Hunter), Lauren (Nadia Lamin) and Ben (Buddy Skelton). There is a slight hiccup in the night’s plans however as our young heroes find themselves possessed by an unknown entity just before they head out for their dinner date… and let me tell you; these shiny-eyed psychopaths really, and I mean really know how to ruin a dinner party in spectacular fashion!
