Things aren’t exactly salad and cream (that’s a thing that’s good, right?) for Malik (Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman) and his partner Aaron (Ari Cohen) who move to the ultra-suburbs with A-dawgs teenage daughter Kayla (Jennifer Laporte). From Jeffrey Riddick, the creator of Final Destination, comes Don’t Look Back. The trailer has just arrived and shines a brutal light on society’s habit of watching terrible things but doing nothing to stop it as well as tackling the subject of karma. In the film, Caitlin Kramer, a woman overcoming a tragic past, is among several people who see a man being fatally assaulted. When the witnesses start dying mysteriously, she must unearth if they’re being targeted by a killer or something far more insidious. Kourtney Bell, Bryan Batt, Will Stout, Skyler Hart, Jeremy Holm, Jaqueline Fleming, Amanda Grace Benitez, Damon Lipari, Han Soto, Dean J. West, and Stephen Twardokus star. YouTube vlogger Graham (Graham Hughes, who also wrote and directed this putrid picture) is having a bit of a slump, as his ha-ha vids are pretty much tits up as far as his viewership is concerned. Lucky for him, he captures one of those paranormal events that are all the rage with blonde women between the ages of 23 and 47, and broadcasts it for all of the world to see! Graham continues to record his eerie existence, but while most vicious viewers eat this supernatural shit up with a sinister spoon, there are those that find Graham’s new material a lil’ bit hard to swallow and set off to prove that this new arcane approach is a load of bollox! Comprised of a heady blend of found footage and faux documentary, Death of a Vlogger presents the full spectrum of paranormal activity, to those that desire to debunk said events… and all points in-between, in a fantastically immersive bit

Back in 1962, pleasure cruise ship the Antonia Graza has nearly it’s entire occupancy scissored in two by a seemingly freak accident involving a broken cable. Flash forward to the modern age, and a group of rough n’ tumble salvagers lead by the no-bullshit Murphy (Gabriel Byrne) catch wind of the ship just floatin’ out on the Bearing Sea just waiting to be plundered! Once on board, our heroes soon find they are up to their assholes in supernatural goings-on, and the ghosts that now inhabit the vessel are none-to-eager to give up their secrets! While the story isn’t going to set the wicked world ablaze with it’s originality (though credit where credit is due, the sequence where we discover the truth behind the ghost ship is top-notch indeed), Ghost Ship has plenty of things in it’s favor. A woman (Amy Ciupek) debates how to eject the toxic dude in her life which isn’t going to be easy considering he’s a rather nasty tempered, abusive, ghost! Filmed with the new Optical Radiance technology that makes film color look vintage without any post-production color correction (read more about the process right here), #NotAllGhosts looks like a million beastly bucks for sure, with bright, eye-popping color… but that isn’t all the visual splendor this bite-sized trip into our beloved horror biz has to offer! You know that ghoulish guest I mentioned up yonder? Well the visual representation of said spirit is a psychotronic fever dream involving, but not limited to, bubbles, possessed televisions, skeletons, smoke, and haunted photographs that reveal private details of how our heroine spends her down time. Folk horror meets found footage in They’re Outside, a solid U.K. fear-fare effort from codirectors Sam Casserly and Airell Anthony Hayles. Max Spencer (Tom Wheatley) plays psychologist on his YouTube channel, despite his qualifications being questionable. He sets a 10-day goal to cure agoraphobic Sarah Sanders (Chrissy Randall) and get her to go outside of her home for the first time in a few years. Sarah’s fear of the outdoors stems from the death of her daughter, who she believes was taken by Green Eyes, a local, woods-dwelling supernatural legend said to haunt people by degrees before leading them to their demise. Max is a hardcore skeptic who refuses to listen to anything having to do with Green Eyes, despite his cameraperson/girlfriend Nicole (Nicole Miners) and Sarah’s friend Penny Arnold (genre veteran Emily Booth of Event Horizon and Grindhouse in a delightful supporting role) pleading with him to at least consider Sarah’s viewpoint. Back in 2015, Paramount referred to Paranormal Activity: Ghost Dimension as the “final” film of the franchise, but things change. Paramount and Blumhouse have been quietly developing a new installment to the franchise! Christopher Landon has returned to “help” develop the film which could be a spin-off, sequel, or reboot. I am helping my friends and co-collaborators at Paramount set a new course for the franchise,” Landon states. “I AM NOT writing the script nor am I directing the new movie. I am eager and excited to hand the reigns over to a fresh filmmaker who will undoubtedly reinvigorate this franchise that the amazing Oren Peli created so many years ago.” Landon has many impressive genre titles under his belt including Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, Happy Death Day, and Happy Death Day 2U. While “The X-Files” starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson my be over (*wipes away a tear), we haven’t seen the last of the weird cases from the iconic series. A new animated series titled “The X-Files: Albuquerque” from Fox will take fans on new investigations without Scully and Mulder, TV Line reports. According to the site, “ the potential series will center an office full of misfit agents who investigate X-Files cases too wacky, ridiculous or downright dopey for Mulder and Scully to bother with. They’re essentially the X-Files’ B-team.” Rocky Russo and Jeremy Sosenko (“Paradise PD”) are attached to write the pilot episode and executive produce.“The X-Files” creator Chris Carter is attached to executive produce as well.

Earlier this week we shared the first look at Netflix’s “The Haunting of Bly Manor.” Now, the official Twitter page for the series has unveiled something interesting, a faux wanted ad, and a number that fans can actually call. We got curious and called. The number leads to a spooky message recorded by young actress Amelie Bea Smith who states that interviews will be held for the nanny position in five days, followed by the creepy humming of a tune.
