Writer-Director Joston Theney Announces New ‘Axeman’ Comic

Axeman is gearing up for battle against “Satan’s Whores”. This morning, Axeman trilogy writer and director Joston Ramon Theney (interview) confirmed the release of #SinningWorks’ first comic book, scheduled to hit shelves this Fall. The one-off comic follows two surviving characters of Axeman 2: Overkill as well as a returning character from the original Axeman film. “Walking Dead” Showrunner’s Thriller Series “The Feed” Set To Begin Filming

“Walking Dead” showrunner Channing Powell is bringing to life the psychological thriller Amazon Original series “The Feed”. Created by Powell, the 10-episode series, based on the novel by Nick Clark Windo, stars Guy Burnet (Ray Donavan, pictured above), Nina Toussaint White (EastEnders), David Thewlis (Harry Potter, pictured below), and Michelle Fairley (Game of Thrones), Deadline reports. ‘Wretched Things’ Comic To Debut At C2E2

On April 6th through the 8th at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2), Comics Experience and Source Point Press will debut physical copies of the comic book series Wretched Things by Devon Wong, Ken Perry, and John Hunt. Nick Offerman Joins Amazon’s ‘Good Omens’ Series

“Good Omens”, Amazon’s upcoming six-part supernatural series based on Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s novel, has added another cast member. Variety is reporting that “Parks and Recreation” actor Nick Offerman will play the U.S. Ambassador and father to a child Warlock who is thought to be the Antichrist. “When the Apocalypse is near and Final Judgment is set to descend upon humanity. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing, Atlantis is rising, and tempers are flaring. Apple Orders New M. Night Shyamalan Series

Apple has given the order for a straight-to-series psychological thriller from “Outcast” writer Tony Basgallop that will be executive produced by M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Split) who will also direct the pilot, Variety reports. The news about the 10-episode series comes on the heels of this morning’s announcement that Shyamalan’s “Wayward Pines” series has been canceled by Fox. Shyamalan will executive produce alongside Ashwin Rajan, Jason Blumenthal, Todd Black, Taylor Latham, and Steve Tisch of Escape Artists. No other details are available at this time. The Sixth Sense director is currently filming his upcoming film Glass, the sequel to last year’s thriller Split.

New ‘Dark Tower’ Series Finds Its Home

It has been a while since we’ve heard anything about the television adaption of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower, until now. In an unrelated article at Deadline the news was buried that Amazon has claimed the series. “As part of the effort, Amazon made a mega deal for a Lord Of the Rings TV series and is developing a slew of high-profile titles, including The Dark Tower, Wheel of Time, Ringworld, Lazarus and Snow Crash,” wrote Deadline, describing Amazon’s current desire to build their library. Last we heard, Glen Mazzara (The Walking Dead) was in line to be the series’ showrunner, but details have been few and far between. We’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available.

The Pronouns of Fandom

Disclaimer: Sports, film, music, and art will do more to unite a nation than politics. All of these, collectively known as “entertainment” allow people a sense of belonging, identity and sharing. They can represent the best of us as a species. All can inspire, amaze and make us and make us better people. Notice I left out any reference to “ownership.” Grammar Nazis love to focus on the improper use of “You’re” and “Your” and “They’re and There.” I suggest they look into the misuse of certain pronouns. Fans of any medium don’t seem to understand “Us” and “Them” or “We” and “They.” A sports example: The Philadelphia Eagles won Super Bowl 52. The players, coach, the staff that worked on a daily basis to make the machine run–THEY won the Super Bowl. YOU reading this did not. Terror Films Is Creating New Series And They Want Your Short Film!

Terror Films is adding to their major digital platform presence by creating a new limited television series and they want your finished short films! The original series concept will be titled “Terror Films Presents: Terrifying Tuesdays.” and will be comprised of six original, never-before-seen short films – presented in a weekly, episodic format. Each episode will be released as a stand-alone episode, once a week, every Tuesday for six weeks leading up to Halloween. On Halloween Day, Wednesday, October 31st, viewers will be able to binge watch all six episodes. Each episode would open with pre-produced prologue created by the label specifically for the series. Although Amazon Prime is the current platform the series would be released on, the label isn’t ruling out pitching the final product to many of their other relationships, including Shudder, Starz, Netflix, and Hulu. Danica is leaving her mark on the literary world with quite an extensive resume but her crowning achievement is being the author of a series of books based on the smash hit video game ‘Minecraft’. Horror Fuel: “What or Who, inspired you to become a writer?” Danica Davidson : “I just liked telling stories ever since I was a little kid. I have stories from when I was three, that I either wrote IN VERY BIG LETTERS or my parents wrote down when I dictated it to them (and the letters look much better). I was writing and illustrating my own stapled-together picture books in first grade and writing novels in middle school.
