Plot In his novella, Fearless, Ashley Lister takes the very thing that drives horror and bends it, toys with it, removes it completely. Lister takes a very simple, clever idea and presents it in a fast-paced, exciting, and horrifying way. The novella contains three sub-plots that weave around each other with each one being important and exciting on its own while working within the larger plot. This is not only impressive, but makes the book incredibly exciting and never lets up. Characters Ashley Lister does a clinic in this book on dialogue and characters. He makes us care about the characters, builds them up, makes them real. He builds their personalities, relationships, humor, their world and then uses our own emotions against us as his own tool for horror. The people in Fearless feel so real and carefully created that I truly cared for them as I was reading. A story is only as good as its characters and, thanks

‘The Taking Of Deborah Logan’ Duo Behind New Netflix Series “The Craving”

Adam Robitel, who is behind Escape Room, and Gavin Heffernan, who brought us Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, who brought us 2014’s The Taking of Deborah Logan. are reuniting for the Netflix addiction horror series “The Craving”, Deadline reports. A Netflix original, “The Craving” “explores the real-world horrors of addiction through a genre lens. It centers around a female sheriff in a Colorado ski town besieged by an unprecedented new threat.” Robitel also directed Escape Room: Tournament of Champions which premieres on July 16th. The Craving will be executive produced by Darren Aronofsky and Elizabeth Gesas of Protozoa Pictures. We’ll keep you posted. .

Bad News For “Lovecraft Country” Fans

Back in 2020, Jordan Peele and J.J. Abrams‘ brilliant HBO series “Lovecraft Country” made one hell of an impact on viewers with an amazing story, a brilliant cast, and a ton of fantastic special effects, and exploration of racism in the Jim Crow era, which makes the fact that the show has just been canceled somewhat of a surprise. We will not be moving forward with a second season of ‘Lovecraft Country,’” HBO said in a statement. “We are grateful for the dedication and artistry of the gifted cast and crew, and to Misha Green, who crafted this groundbreaking series. And to the fans, thank you for joining us on this journey.” The reason the cancelation is not completely a surprise is the fact that the series, based upon the novel by Matt Ruff, has run its course with its main star being killed off. In all honesty, the story would more than likely suffer if it was to continue.

‘The Savage Instinct’ Blends Fact And Fiction To Make Very Real Horror – Book Review

Plot I love historical fiction novels. I love seeing how the author takes reality and mixes it in with their fictional characters and ideas. Author Marjorie DeLuca’s use of the true horror story of the serial killer Mary Ann Cotton and blending it with the true horror of Clara’s abusive relationships not only makes for a strong plot, but a very heavy and dark, clever and truly wrenching horror novel. This plot does not feel like fiction, it feels real and hits real emotions. The friendship between Cotton and the fictional Clara makes so much sense and works so well within the novel that it is hard to see where the fiction and fact line is. Both women are desperate, troubled and damaged. The reasons are different, but we see a murderer and a victim bound together by their pain and loneliness. The plot is developed and well presented to make for a powerful book about freedom, pain, abuse and

An Update For The Upcoming “Alien” Series

The Alien universe is expanding once again, this time with a new TV series for FX from showrunner Noah Hawley, the man behind “Fargo” and “Legion.” First announced back in December of 2020, the series is produced by Ridley Scott. While details are being kept quiet, we do know that the seventh installment of the franchise will not be about Ripley (Sigourney Weaver), instead it will be a completely new story and will be set on Earth. Howley revealed a few details during a recent interview with Vanity Fair. Hawle said “The alien stories are always trapped… trapped in a prison, trapped in a spaceship. I thought it would be interesting to open it up a little bit so that the stakes of ‘What happens if you can’t contain it?’ are more immediate. Jennifer Tilly Shares New Images From The Set Of “Chucky”

Filming is currently underway on Don Mancini‘s new “Chucky” series that will air on both USA and SYFY this Fall. Franchise star Jennifer Tilly has now given us fans a taste of what’s to come by sharing behind-the-scenes images of the cast on social media. Tilly isn’t the only one returning for the show, Brad Dourif is back as the voice of Chucky. Dourif’s daughter, Fiona Dourif who is the star of two of the Chucky sequels is also returning as is Alex Vincent as Andy, and Christine Elise. “Good Omens” Gets Renewed Two Years After Finale

In a twist that we never expected, Amazon has renewed “Good Omens” for a second season after a two-years after season one’s finale. Two reasons that it’s so surprising is that the series was first billed as limited series and another, the first season covered the entire novel it’s based upon. Co-written by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchet, the new season will deliver a fresh story about the supernatural duo of Michael Sheen‘s (“Masters of Sex”) angel Aziraphale and David Tennant’s (“Doctor Who”) Crowley and their involvement in the apocalypse and with humanity. Both are returning. The new six-episode season will begin production later this year in Scotland and will stream exclusively on Amazon with its premiere likely in 2022. We’ll keep you posted.
