Back last year we reported that the long-awaited sequel ‘Jeepers Creepers 3’ was finally on its way, but the film stalled thanks to problems caused by writer-director Victor Salva’s dark past.
Today, we have good news for fans of the franchise. ‘Jeepers Creepers 3’ has now entered pre-production and is set to begin next month in Louisiana instead of Vancouver, Canada like originally planned.
Gina Phillips will be returning to her role as Trish, who lost her brother Darry (Justin Long) to the Creeper in the original 2oo1 film.
Bloody-Disgusting in reporting that the casting site MEW is listing an new, interesting synopsis for the film that will tie all three movies together.
Trish Jenner is now a mother of a teenage son named Darry, named after the brother she lost 23 years ago. Trish has a recurring nightmare where her son suffers the same fate as her brother did, killed by the Creeper. Determined to prevent this from happening, Trish, who is now a rich and powerful woman, sets out on a final quest with Jack Taggart Sr. and Jr. to end the Creeper’s reign of terror once and for all. The Creeper fights back in gory glory as its enemies grow closer than ever before to learning the secret of its dark origins.”
Jonathan Breck will be returning to play the Creeper who awakens every 23 years to feed for 23 days and Brandon Smith will be back as Sergeant Tubbs who will once again have to face the creature.
