Alex J. Mann, the writer/director, behind the hit horror short film 3 Seconds, which has racked-up over 2.8 million views, is back with with his new Instagram short film ME2. ME2 (below) centers on a woman (Julia Kelly) obsessed with her favorite selfie on Instagram. The more she stares at the photo, the darker things become.

Co-written by K. Adam Bloom, ME2 was produced by Alex J. Mann, K. Adam Bloom and Space Oddity Films, with Jen Kavanagh serving as executive producer.

The film speaks volumes about society’s current obsession with beauty, perfection, likes, favorites and retweets. And how the addiction can take over our lives if we’re not careful.
