Greg McLean’s Wolf Creek franchise is the latest on a long list of films that are being adapted into TV series. McLean’s Wolf Creek six-part mini series will premiere on Australia’s streaming service service, Stan. on May 12th.
The mini series stars Eve Thorogood as Lucy Fry. Lucy is the lone survivor of a killer’s rampage that wiped out her entire family. McLean hints that franchise’s killer Mick Taylor may have finally met his match.
“Having a female point of view is really interesting because it flips that whole slasher thing on its head because it’s not about that.” McLean has said about the main character Lucy. “It’s actually about her exploring a character and trying to understand the motivation for her character – it’s much more character-focused as a raw piece of storytelling.”
John Jarratt will reprise his role as serial killer Mick Taylor. Dustin Clare, Eddie Baroo, Alicia Gardiner, Andy McPhee, Liana Cornell and Matt Levett co-star along side Fry and Jarratt in this intense series.
