We previously reported that both Kate Beckinsale, who plays the role of Selene, and Theo James will be returning to their roles for the latest sequel of the ‘Underworld’ franchise. The sequel’s title, ‘Underworld: Next Generation’.
Today news comes via Bloody-Disgusting that ‘Game of Thrones’ actor Tobias Menzies will be playing a leading role as the Lycan leader Marius.
The sequel will focus on Selene and hybrid Michael Corvin’s (Scott Speedman) daughter Eve. Eve, played by India Eisley, is a hybrid like her father. Eve was introduced in the last sequel, ‘Underworld: Awakening’.
Anna Foerster, who served as Roland Emmerich’s right hand on ‘White House Down’ and ‘The Day After Tomorrow’, will be directing the movie, which is set to be released on October 21, 2016.
