Stephen King, the master of the horror novel, has another tale that is being adapted for a film. ‘In The Tall Grass’ is a collaboration between King and his son Joe Hill, which was published back in 2012 in Esquire magazine. You may recognize Hill as the writer of the novel adapted for 2013’s movie ‘Horns’ .
The screenplay for ‘In The Tall Grass’ is being written by ‘Cube’ writer-director Vincenzo Natali, who also wrote several episodes of the cannibalistic series ‘Hannibal’ as well as writing and directing the 2009 movie ‘Splice’, that starred Adrian Brody. The film adaption of ‘In the Tall Grass’ is now in preproduction, but no other information is available at this time.
The novella follows a young man and his sister, who is pregnant. The two end up fighting for their lives after responding to a young boy’s call for help in a field. Within minuets the two siblings are lost in the field. As the boy’s cries become more desperate, the two venture deeper into the maze like field. The brother and sister and the boy are not alone, something is stalking them.
