Emily Roya O’Brien, who starred in Bressack’s Pernicious, plays the role of Dr. Rebecca Jordan, who along with her husband Todd (Adrian Gaeta), have moved into a older home. While Rebecca is at work, Todd stays elbows deep into the home’s restoration and remodeling. One night while working Todd discovers an old teddy bear in the wall. That night when Rebecca arrives home from a tough shift she finds Todd in the kitchen with her neighbors, a lovely young couple, played by Zach Ward (Resident Evil: Apocalypse) and Sarah Ann Schultz (The Hit List). After their guests leave Rebecca and Todd break into a teddy bear fight, you see the man who last lived in the house left hundreds behind. When Rebecca is hts by their latest find she feels something hard inside the bear. She performs surgery on the worn stuffed animal, finding the diary of young girl hidden inside. Every night that passes Rebecca’s dreams grow more intense until her husband comes in contact with the spirit of a little girl down in the basement and is left with severe burns where she grabbed him. As the film goes on you can’t help but notice that there’s something strange about the neighbors.

I won’t reveal any more of the story. I would hate to spoil the film for you, which I will strongly recommend you see. Restoration is the perfect balance between supernatural horror and emotional drama. Just when you think you know what’s about to happen the film takes a hard turn in another direction, leaving you guessing, and interested in every scene right up to the end. The cast did a great job, especially Ward. You could see the most interesting reactions to both his role and the characters around him. It made his character feel so real. So many actors fail at that important task.
