New Godzilla Documentary ‘The Dawn Of Kaiju Eiga’ Hits Amazon Prime
We’ve got a treat for fans of the King of Monsters, “The Dawn of Kaiju Eiga”, a new documentary film about the origins of the iconic monster Godzilla is now streaming on Amazon Prime, produced and directed by Spanish filmmaker Jonathan Bellés. The project started in 2012, as a Ph.D. research of Bellés about Kaiju Eiga, however, step by step, the project grew more and more ambitious as the filmmaker traveled to Japan in order to record more than 20 interviews from film directors, actors, and special effects directors. The goal was to realize his lifelong dream, a documentary about Kaiju Eiga, his favorite film genre. Five years later, on April 2nd, 2019, he screened the film for the first time in Tokyo, with very special guests including actor Akira Takarada and film director Shusuke Kaneko. Mr. Jonathan Bellés has created an amazing documentary, it should be watched by all Japanese politicians”, Mr. Takarada said after seeing the film. Since

DVD Review: Infection (2019)
Dr. Adam Vargas (Rubén Guevara) and his neighbor Johnny (Leonidas Urbina) thought shit would be peaceful as fuck in their small town… but a fast spreading virus is coming their way pronto from the strife-torn urban jungles of Venezuela (not to date this review, but this is some timely-ass shit as I write these wicked words). Anyway, said virus turns people into flesh hungry pseudo-zombies (think those featured in Lenzi’s 1980 classic Nightmare City or it’s highly derivative, more well-known kissin’ cousin; Danny Boyle’s 28 Days Later) and wouldn’t you know it; our heroes find themselves balls deep in Zombietown as they set off across on a fright filled journey to retrieve Vargas’ son from his grandmother’s house! So, as you can imagine, Infection drops us into some very familiar terror territory; we get our (kinda) zombie apocalypse, a small group that tries to survive the hungry hordes… hell, we even get pointed social commentary ala George A. Romero’s walking

Movie Review: The Black Gate (2017)
Sarah (Jeanne Dessart) and David (Nicolas Couchet) are a couple of orphans what lived a hard knock life indeed! Their Uncle Simon (Michel Coste) put the murder biz on their parents, and they spent most of their lives separated at different orphanages. Oh, there’s another thing about ol’ sinister simon; he loves himself the black magic, and he sent Sarah one of those ghoulish grimoires all the rage with witches ages 13 – 45. Long story short, our heroes venture to their Uncle’s arcane abode, run afoul of a cadre of criminals, and all of these folks must contend with the literal hell that’s barfin’ forward out of the demonic doorway he just so happened to leave open! Picture it; Sicily: 1922… Jess Franco sits himself down, watches Phantasm and Evil Dead, smokes the fattest of fat ones, exhales and says: “I could make those films with one arm tied around Lina Romay’s back!” Suddenly a producer from Filmirage… no,

“Dead Files” Host Steve DiSchiavi Talks About The New Season And More
One of the most popular paranormal series on TV today (and one of my personal favorites) is Travel Channel’s “The Dead Files”. The series follows psychic empath Amy Allan and retired NYPD homicide detective Steve DiSchiavi. The team splits up with Amy heading to the location plagued by paranormal activity while Steve investigates the location’s history. In the end, the two meet with the families to discuss their findings and how to move forward and solve the issue. I sat down with Steve to discuss his role in the series and his experience prior to joining the show which is now in its thirteenth season. Outspoken and brutally honest, Steve holds nothing back. Horror Fuel: “How did you go from being an NYPD detective to starring on “The Dead Files?” Steve: “You want the short version or the long version? I’ll give you the short version. ABC News did a documentary on the NYPD as part of a series. It

Debunking “100 Years Pandemic” Meme
Now that social distancing, lockdowns, and shelter in place events are going on around the globe, many people have time on their hands… so much so that they’re now posting clips from bogus articles that first appeared in January of this year and shared on many not so relevant/scholarly/trustworthy news sites, today Horror fuel is challenging these claims! According to the article and the meme that was birthed from it, every 100 years there’s a major pandemic and that we should be worried. The article and meme mention the 1720 Plague, the 1820 Cholera Outbreak, the 1920 Spanish Flu, and tops it off with the misnamed 2020 “Chinese” Flu. Let’s start off with the first claim, the 1720 Plague which is convenient that it appears that’s when recorded human history must have begun according to the ones who began these claims as no other years are mentioned before this one. Historically there was indeed a plague in 1720, it was
