Two New Clips Take You Behind The Scenes Of ‘Midsommar’

One of the best genre films of the year, Midsommar (review) has now been released on home video, but the festivities are continuing with two new behind the scenes clips from the special features featuring Ari Aster, Jack Reynor, Florence Pugh, and Vilhelm Blomgren discussing their time filming this summer’s unsettling film! The film stars Florence Pugh (upcoming Black Widow and Little Women) as a young woman who reluctantly joins her boyfriend on a summer trip to a remote Swedish village for a midsummer festival, which becomes more and more sinister as the days pass. The Rotten Tomato Certified Fresh™ film also stars Jack Reynor (Kin, Free Fire, TV’s “Strange Angel”), William Jackson Harper (TV’s “The Good Place,” They Remain, TV’s “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan”), and Will Poulter (The Maze Runner, Detroit, The Revenant). “After a family tragedy, a young American couple joins some friends at a midsummer festival in a remote Swedish village. Be The Hero Of Your Own Greek Epic In ‘Argonus And The Gods Of Stone’

PC gamers will be given the opportunity to challenge the gods in order to save their friends in their own Greek Epic Argonus and the Gods of Stone by indie game developer Zojoi, the makers of Shadowgate. Players take on the role of Argonus, who washed ashore after his ship Argo crashed against the strange land that he must now explore in order to find his compatriots, the Argonauts. Argonus will face many perils in the form of creatures from Greek Mythology, puzzles, and the Greek Gods themselves. Argonus’s journey is not entirely dire as he is aided by the goddess Athena. The game was inspired by the works of stop-motion legend Ray Harryhausen (Jason and the Argonauts, Clash of the Titans) whose famed sword-wielding skeletons are one of the many foes you must encounter in this first-person experience. Argonus and the Gods of Stone is available now on Steam and Humble stores, along with the main game, the DLC

Don’t Miss ‘Joe Bob’s Halloween Hootenanny’ On Shudder!

To celebrate our favorite holiday, Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thrillers and the supernatural, is throwing a Halloween special like no other, hosted by Joe Bob Briggs, the world’s foremost drive-in movie critic. As we were preparing for Season 2 of The Last Drive-In, we unearthed three forgotten gems that are all Halloween-themed and decided it was time for a Halloween Hootenanny. Or maybe I’m lying about that and we’re programming three iconic Halloween favorites. Or maybe we’re counter-programming with flicks that have absolutely nothing to do with Halloween. The great thing about spending October 25 with us is that, as Forrest Gump says, you never know what you’re gonna get. What we can promise is a) I will be ridiculously nerdy about horror, and b) Darcy the Mail Girl will probably disagree with me. It’s great to be back. I missed Shudder and the Shudder faithful,” said Briggs. The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs began

Movie Review: Pumpkins (2018)

An unpopular farmer (Terry Wood) with a rather disconcerting pumpkin fetish, meets his end thanks to being scared to death by two hooligans (Dale Hooley and Nathan Jordie Keers), but he won’t stay dead for long, as the unhallowed ground he is buried in resurrects his ass as Pumpkin Man (Will Metheringham), a monstrous mountain of a man with a pumpkin visage that goes all in on the murder biz along with some living pumpkins (wait… what the fuck now?)! That’s all well and good, but in order to have a slasher opus you need victims… and along comes Lance (Roland Martial) and Denise (Sarah Jayne Curry); guides employed by a group of survival nuts to lead them to remote territory, which of course is directly on Pumpkin Man’s land. Naturally stalk n’ slay ghoulish goodness ensues, and our hapless heroes run afoul of not only our outre orange antagonist, but his naughty niece (played by the film’s director Maria

Movie Review: Devil’s Acid (2018)

A drunken dad tells his sleep derived son one one hell of an inappropriate whopper and thus begins Devil’s Acid… a drug-fueled journey through our beloved horror biz. The story proper concerns douchey Johnny (Drew Rin Varick), who invites a group of comely ladies (Ashley Dulaney, Jessica Lynn Parsons, Misty and Kim Ormiston, and Betty Jeune) along with his bro Luke (Eric Gibson) to a derelict jailhouse for a night of debased debauchery; all enhanced by the ingestion of the eponymous Devil’s acid that is rumored to provide one hell of a trip… literally. The gang goes apeshit off that arcane acid and believe they see ol’ Scratch himself (Finch Nissen) which is kinda prosaic given the evil babies, cults, and snogging with deer heads that also surround them. Given the above sinister synopsis above, you’d imagine you were in for one hell of an off-kilter and bizarre fright flick, and you’d be right… but Devil’s Acid is nothing if
