Petition To Halt Release Of ‘Slender Man’ Movie Gains Momentum

The motive behind the attack that stunned their hometown of Waukesha, Wisconsin was that they wanted to become “proxies” to the fictional character Slender Man and prove their loyalty to him so their families will be spared by him. One of the film’s biggest critics and is said to have signed the petition himself is Anissa Weier’s father who calls the film “extremely distasteful” due to the fact that three families have been affected by this fictional character. An Ophidiophobics Worst Nightmare: Ilha Da Queimada Grande
Sometimes the scariest things in life can’t be found in works of fiction or spoken around a flashlight on a dark and stormy night, they’re very real and they’re places that embody what we fear most. If you’re someone who suffers from Ophidiophobia, the fear of snakes, then this island is not for you. Ilha da Queimada Grande is an island located 18 miles off the coast of Brazil with a population of ZERO, well, when speaking about human population. If you’re talking population, in general, it’s actually around 2-4,000 snakes (cue Indiana Jones’s famous line). If you’re still reading this, I’m sorry it gets worse; the snakes populating the island are Golden Lanceheads, a species of pit viper that can only be found on this island and that’s good too because the venom they produce is the most deadly venom of any snake species in North/South America and is said to actually MELT flesh around the bite wound and

Horror Short Of The Week: “2AM: The Smiling Man”
Welcome to the first entry of a new ongoing series, Horror Short of The Week. This week’s entry; “2AM: THE SMILING MAN” If you’ve got 4 minutes and a clean pair of underwear , “2AM: THE SMILING MAN” is a short film you need to see. Based off an old creepypasta, “SMILING MAN” is one of the most atmospheric, terror inducing shorts I’ve ever seen. Excellent use of sound design, from feet scrapping across the sidewalk to the blaring alarm, adds a sense of horror that’d be sorely missing otherwise. Paul Foltz, whose only IMDB credit is this film, is perfectly horrifying as the well dressed, skyward looking monster at the cent of the movie. Without a single word or change of expression, he conveys a sense of madness and perfect horror. The simplicity of his character works well here. You don’t know anything about the smiling man, except he’s tall, he’s fast, and he’s completely fucking crazy. “THE SMILING
