The New Friday The 13th Movie’s Release Delayed
Little information has been released about the new ‘Friday the 13th’ movie that is being directed by David Bruckner (V/H/S) and was written by Nick Antosca, who served as a writer for the ‘Hannibal Lecter’ series. Antosca has stated that the new movie will not be a sequel to the 2009 movie and will have different characters and be set in a different time period. It has been said that the film will take place in 1980’s, but that has not been confirmed. It had been rumored that it would be a found footage film. Brad Fuller (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), a producer for the 2016 film, has stated that it will in fact, NOT be found footage. I’m very happy to hear this, found footage may be considered a good and cheap, alternative way to film, but in my opinion it’s over used and often obnoxious. Fuller made this statement back in March: “I could just say that for

Nightscape: Cynopolis by David Edwards
Being a horror reviewer is difficult, sometimes. I get emails multiple times a day with requests for me to review movies, books, shows… You name it, people are trying to get my eyes on it. Typically I can skim across these emails and not give them too much thought. (Needless to say, most don’t catch my eye. My reading/watching queue is way too long!) However, when I got the email last month regarding the Worldwind Book Tour for Nightscape: Cynopolis, I knew I had to pounce. Everything about this premise was unique, and I’ve always loved Egyptian mythology (where else does ones mind go when they read the phrase ‘jackal headed beasts’? Everything about this book screamed ‘must read’ and I knew I had to see if it would live up to the (arguably self-generated) hype. Book Description: Detroit’s eastside has seen its share of horrors. Once-proud factories gutted for scrap. Whole neighborhoods burned out and boarded up. Nature drained

The Parents Television Council Has American Horror Story In Their Sights
The Parents Television Council have their panties in a bunch again, this time it’s over the bloody and brutal sex scenes in ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’. I’m not sure exactly what they were expecting from the show that previously had twisted sex scenes in past seasons, including a scene where Gabourey Sidibe’s character Queenie had sex with a Minotaur in ‘Coven’ and an orgy with the freaks in ‘AHS: Freak Show’. So far, the group is upset about the bloody sex scene featuring Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer and another couple, as well as the scene in which Max Greenfield was raped by a masked character wearing a spiked strap on. I will admit I did find that scene a little much, but with ‘AHS’ controversial content is expected. Tim Winter, the president of The Parents Television Council, is urging people to boycott the series. Winter stated: “This is the most vile and shocking content I’ve ever seen on TV. Ever.
