Supernatural Thriller ‘Luciferina’ Possesses New Trailer And November Release Date

Artsploitation has called upon the dark forces to release Argentinian genre maven Gonzalo Calzada‘s latest scripture-based gore fest, Luciferina. A film where religion, innocence, and evil collide. The new trailer has just been unveiled following a successful festival tour with screenings at FrightFest London, Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, Philadelphia Unnamed Film Festival, Fantaspoa, and Cinepolcalypse. Sofia Del Tuffo stars as Natalia, a 19-year-old novice who reluctantly returns home to say goodbye to her dying father. But when she meets up with her sister and her friends, she decides instead to travel the jungle in search of a mystical plant. Instead of pleasure, they find a world of Black Masses, strange pregnancies, bloody deaths and perhaps, a sexually violent clash with the Devil himself. Luciferina arrives on November 20th on Blu-ray and DVD in North America. Followed by its December 4th release on Digital HD, iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, Vudu and more.

Punk Rock Horror Flick ‘The Ranger’ Hunts Down A January Release

A71 Entertainment is set to release the punk rock slasher The Ranger early in January. The film is the feature debut of Jenn Wexler, a past Shudder Labs master, and producer of the SXSW Grand Jury Prize-winner, Most Beautiful Island. The festival favorite, which premiered at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival, follows a group of young punks who are forced to flee the city to lay low, only to run into a park ranger who shares a mysterious past with one of their own. The film has been lauded for its standout performances from Chloë Levine (The Transfiguration, The OA) as the pink-haired punk with a secret, and Jeremy Holm (House of Cards, “Mr. Robot”) as the maniacal ranger, ready to get his hands bloody in defense of the woods. Writer-director Orson Oblowitz‘s (Corbin Nash) noir crime thriller The Queen of Hollywood BLVD has just arrived on Digital. FrightFest Unleashes Exclusive Poster For ‘The Man Who Killed Hitler And Then The Bigfoot’

FrightFest has unleashed the exclusive poster for one of the best films of the year, The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot, ahead of its premiere. Sam Elliott (The Hero, A Star Is Born, Road House) stars as a legendary World War II veteran who many years ago assassinated Adolf Hitler – an incredible secret that he’s frustratingly unable to share with the world. One day, just as he’s coming to terms with rounding out his life, Calvin gets a visit from the FBI and The Royal Canadian Mounted Police. They need him to take out Bigfoot. This fantastic film marks the feature debut of writer/director Robert D. Krzykowski. This September Discover ‘Diane’

The Cleaning Lady Set To Premiere At FrightFest

Genre filmmaker Jon Knautz (Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer) has now announced that the world premiere of his new film The Cleaning Lady is set to be held at FrightFest later this month. Based on the short film by the same name, the movie starring Alexis Kendra (Goddess of Love) and Rachel Alig (Officer Down), follows “two women, both reeling from their own traumas, attempting to find solace in each other. As their bond deepens, the connection quickly turns obsessive with disastrous consequences.” Knautz directed from a script he co-wrote with Alexis Kendra. The two produced alongside James F. Nelson. The Cleaning Lady will make its world premiere during FrightFest at Cineworld Leicester Square on August 24, 2018.
