Artsploitation Films has acquired the rights to the controversial Australian holiday film Red Christmas. The film, from veteran director-producer Craig Anderson, stars genre icon Dee Wallace who has appeared in many horror classics including The Howling, Cujo, and Halloween. A Woman Fights To Survive A Coldblooded Killer In The Trailer For ‘The Dark Below’

Parade Deck Films has announced the upcoming theatrical release of Douglas Schulze’s festival favorite ‘The Dark Below’ as well as the film’s trailer and poster. The story centers on a young woman (Shafer) trapped and struggling beneath a frozen lake while a serial killer (Brown) stalks her from the surface. Starring ‘Alien’ actress Veronica Cartwright, Lauren Mae Shafer (Fractured) , David G.B. Brown (Mimesis), Zachary Levine (Legion), Seraphina Anne Zom (Blood of Soldiers), and Tiffany Burs (The Parricidal Effect), ‘The Dark Below’ has been highly anticipated since it made its rounds at film festivals, including FrightFest, Fantasia, Toronto After Dark and Monsters of Film in Sweden. Documentary Hostage To The Devil Delves In The Supernatural And The Rites Of Exorcism

For those of you who are interested in the supernatural, there is a new documentary from director Martin Stalker, titled Hostage to the Devil, and you are not going to want to miss. It will be premiering later this month at Horror Channel FrightFest in London. The documentary tells the “true story of a Jesuit priest, an author, and an exorcist.” It also features interviews with real people that deal with the supernatural, the paranormal, and the occult, including Lorraine Warren. Maybe it was all just bad acid?! I screened recently Bad Acid a short for HF and boy was I entertained! Bad Acid follows the tale of a bad illusionist trying to make a living. When he fights with a heckler, he runs to his friend for a loan. The loan his friend gives him is that of a box belonging to a dead heavy metal artist. Nina Forever To Be Released Just In Time For Valentine’s Day

The horror-love-story ‘Nina Forever’ will be released just in time for Valentine’s Day, on February 12, via Epic Pictures Group. The film was written and direct by Ben and Chris Blaine. ‘Nina Forever’ has won multiple awards, including Best Debut Director, Most Promising Newcomer and the Best Feature Award from FrightFest. This odd love story stars Fiona O’Shaughnessy (Alexander), Abigail Hardingham (Freak), Cian Barry (Ghost Town), David Troughton (The Interceptor), Elizabeth Elvin (Hot Fuzz) and Bill Holland (Sun Trap). ‘Nina Forever’ follows Holly (Hardingham), as she begins a relationship with Rob, her co-worker. But Rob, is still trying to cope with the death of his previous girlfriend, Nina (O’Shaughnessy). Every time Holly and Rob make love, Nina appears. Bernard Rose Has A New Take On Frankenstein

Bernard Rose, the writer/director behind ‘Candy Man’ and ‘Boxing Day’, has a new spin on the classic tale of Frankenstein. The new ‘Frankeinstein’ is set in modern day L.A. and is told from the monster’s point of view.Two scientists, husband and wife, artificially create a man that they have named Adam.Adam is not constructed of loose body parts, unlike in the other Frankenstein movies we’ve seen before. Instead, Adam is made on a printer designed to print organic manner. It is discovered that something has gone wrong when Adam begins to develop sores and growths.
