The Synopsis For Each Episode In Season One Of Ash Vs Evil Dead

STARZ will soon (10/31) air Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi’s new series ‘Ash Vs Evil Dead‘. The series is based on the 1981 movie ‘Evil Dead’. Raimi directed the cult classic, which starred the charismatic Bruce Campbell, who kicked Deadite ass with a chainsaw for a hand. The fans of the movie, including me, are extremely excited about the new show! The trailer looks absolutely fantastic! The descriptions of nine of the ten episodes of the first season have been released and we have them. Campbell will play an aging Ash, a ladies man, working at the local S-Mart. He’s spent thirty years avoiding responsibility and coping with the horrors he experienced at the hand of the deadites. Now the creatures have been set loose on the world. Ash must confront his fears and come to the rescue. This time Ash won’t have to fight alone, he’s got two young sidekicks, Kelly and Pablo, to aid in his mission to

Consuming Cynema PART II

The Remake The road to the remake is a winding one. There is no clear pathway toward the answer of whether they are good or bad, needed or unwanted. They exist. They will continue to be made because there is demand. My previous article opened with a quote from George Bush’s post 9-11 speech which hinted at “living life” is a series of consuming events that follow an image that has been dictated to us by a media assault that has shaped us since birth. So what does that have to do with filmmaking and entertainment? Does art imitate life or the other way around? Why is Disney the Mecca of family vacations? Who said women are to look a certain way, smoking is glamorous, drinking a soda makes you like Michael Jackson or Beyonce? We have a new generation growing up with incredible access to entertainment. Cell phones, tablets, video game systems and computers allow instant access to everything,

Consuming Cynema PART I

Go Shopping A persistent misconception immediately after the 911 attacks in 2001 is that President George W. Bush urged Americans “to go shopping.” This was not the case. Over the years it’s been simplified into that message. In reality The President said this, “It’s to tell the traveling public: Get on board. Do your business around the country. Fly and enjoy America’s great destination spots. Get down to Disney World in Florida. Take your families and enjoy life, the way we want it to be enjoyed.” George Bush, White House Archives Not once was the word “shop” or any form of it used. This is not a political defense. Rather, something in that speech to a shocked nation did stand out to me, and can be applied to the entertainment industry. While we were not directly urged to “go shopping” the simplistic picture of consumerism congruent to the picture of American life was apparent. We have accepted an image of

Spirit Halloween Drops a Splatter-Ready ‘Terrifier’ Collection for Summerween

Move over, barbecues and neon pool noodles. The hottest trend of the sunny season doesn’t involve matching family swimsuits or artisanal popsicles. It is officially Summerween, and the spooky subculture is real. What started as a holiday gag in a Disney Channel cartoon (Gravity Falls) has morphed into a full-blown consumer phenomenon. As of May 2026, the hashtag #summerween has racked up over 210,000 posts on Instagram alone. Gen Z and millennial horror fans have collectively decided that waiting until October for monsters and mayhem is an outdated concept. Seizing the blood-soaked moment, seasonal retail juggernaut Spirit Halloween is officially kicking off the summer season by dropping a highly anticipated, limited-time Terrifier Summerween collection. Launching today at 1:00 PM ET, the exclusive capsule merges the sun-drenched vibes of a beach resort with the absolute, unhinged depravity of America’s favorite mute slasher, Art the Clown. Kate Beckinsale and Katherine McNamara Join Shark Thriller ‘White’

It’s officially “Shark Girl Summer.” As if the digital depths weren’t already crowded enough with Netflix’s Thrash and The Asylum’s Shark Thrash, a new contender is swimming into the Cannes market. Kate Beckinsale and Katherine McNamara are officially set to lead the high-stakes survival thriller, White. Directed by horror veteran Jake West (Evil Aliens) and penned by cult comic creator Dan Schaffer (Dogwitch), the film promises to be more than your average “stay out of the water” cautionary tale. While traveling overseas for a shoot with a co-star, her private jet goes down in the middle of the Pacific.
