The First Pet Sematary Trailer Returns Us To Where “The Ground Is Sour”

When a remake of a beloved horror film is made, reactions will range from optimism to outright bitterness. Personally, I have grown to save all criticisms until I have “sampled the wares”, so to speak. With that in mind, today we horror fans get the first little taste of Paramount’s new adaptation/remake of Stephen King‘s classic novel, Pet Sematary. “Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer are at the helm of this new adaptation, which features Jason Clarke as Louis Creed, Amy Seimetz as Rachel Creed, John Lithgow as Jud Crandall, Jete Laurence as Ellie Creed and Hugo Lavoie as Gage Creed. Now, without further ado, take a gander at the trailer below. Are you intrigued? I know I am. And while there will definitely be more trailers in store to keep whetting our appetites, we still have to wait patiently (or maybe not so patiently) for the film to be released on April 5th, 2019 (just 16 days shy of exactly

First Images Arrive From The ‘Pet Sematary’ Remake

Directors Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kölsch, the duo behind Starry Eyes, have teamed up for the remake of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. Judging by the first images shared by Entertainment Weekly, it may end up being a decent film. But until we do see some footage we’ll be wondering if “sometimes dead is better,” at least when it comes to classic horror films. This version stars Jason Clarke as Louis Creed, Amy Seimetz as Rachel Creed, Jete Laurence as Ellie Creed, and Hugo and Lucas Lavoie as Gage Creed. John Lithgow is playing the role of their neighbor Jud. Jeff Buhler wrote the script for the new version of one of Stephen King’s most popular tales. Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers, 1408), Mark Vahradian (Transformers), and Stephen Schneider (Insidious) are producing. One of the things about doing a new version now is our understanding of life and death has progressed,” producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura said. “But are we more sophisticated about
