The official trailer has now arrived. It teases a happy family reunion that turns into sheer terror after an iceberg arrives and a creature is unleashed. Watch it below. Saltwater Terror Strikes an Isolated Village Filmed on location in St. John’s, Newfoundland, “Below” immerses viewers in a tight-knit seaside community. Inde Navarrette Faces Aliens, Crocs, and Chaos in 'The Waffle House Index'

Inde Navarrette Faces Aliens, Crocs, and Chaos in ‘The Waffle House Index’

Fresh off her star-making turn in the blockbuster horror phenomenon Obsession and her high-profile casting as Rogue in Marvel’s upcoming X-Men reboot, rising genre icon Inde Navarrette has locked in her next major project. Apple Original Films and Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment have teamed up for The Waffle House Index. It’s an apocalyptic sci-fi thriller that will see Navarrette both star in the lead role and make her debut as an executive producer. From FEMA Metrics to Absurdist Sci-Fi Mayhem The title is named after the real-world informal storm gauge used by emergency management officials, including FEMA. It uses Waffle House statuses to measure the severity of natural disasters across the American South. Yes, it’s a real thing. In actual Waffle House disaster monitoring, a “Green” rating means the 24/7 diner chain is running full service. “Yellow” indicates a limited-menu operation powered by generators. However, a “Red” situation signals catastrophic damage that has forced the doors to close. However, Waffle

Spoiler-Free Reviews: Still Ohio and Get That Dick (GenreBlast 2026)

Still Ohio Official synopsis In a misguided attempt to save her relationship, Ana (Fernanda Lopez) transfers from Boston College to Tulane to be with her boyfriend, Doug. Doug arranges for Ana to carpool with three of his rambunctious friends, Henry (Michael Zapesotsky), Julia (Sofia Angelopoulos), and Johnny (Jake Melamed). However, along the way, Ana discovers Doug does not know these strangers nearly as well as she was led to believe.  Review I’m rather a hard sell on genre films involving time loops, but writer/director Kaylin Allshouse’s Still Ohio is a well crafted exception to my usual stance. The characters and circumstances are nicely fleshed out, the direction is strong, and the performances from the four leads are all impressive.  Without giving too much away, the road trip that the four protagonists find themselves on involves a gas station that at first seems eerily similar to the first one where they stopped. As incidents proceed, that location and the other people
