Spoiler Free Movie Review: 'Supercell' - A Tornado Movie That Doesn't Blow

Spoiler Free Movie Review: ‘Supercell’ – A Tornado Movie That Doesn’t Blow

From director Herbert James (“Jamie”) Winterstern comes the action-thriller Supercell which sees a teenage boy join a group of storm chasers in a bid to find himself and to learn more about his father. I’ll admit I had low expectations going into this film. Let’s be honest. There are a ton of shit natural disaster movies out there. But Supercell isn’t one of them. Supercell features sympathetic characters, a must for any movie, such as the main character William, played well by Daniel Diemer (“The Midnight Club”). You want to cheer for this kid. And it was great to see Skeet Ulrich, best known for his role in Scream, in action. The film also sadly features Anne Heche in one of her final roles. Academy-Award nominee, three-time Golden Globe, and Emmy winner Alec Baldwin stars as a storm guide and a total prick. When it comes to a natural disaster movie, especially one with tornadoes, the special effects must be

Game Review: 'Homebody'

Game Review: ‘Homebody’

A homebody is a person who stays home and does not venture out much, but what if you are forced to not be a homebody and go hang out with friends, at a strange house, with a killer on the loose? Well, then you have Rogue and Game Grumps’ horror-puzzle game Homebody. I want to thank Rogue and Game Grumps for allowing me to check out the game. Homebody follows Emily, a young woman with severe agoraphobia who is going to a rented house to hang out with her old friends who she has not seen in over a year. While at the house strange events take place where a masked killer attacks Emily and her friends and every time Emily dies, she loops back to after she arrives at the house. Now onto the game itself! Homebody‘s controls are pretty simple and limited making it easy to get going with the story which seems to drop you right into

Movie Review: Witchtrap (1989) – MVD Blu-ray

A greasy, razzle-dazzle showbiz type is sent plummeting to his doom from within the unreasonably pink confines of a mansion formerly owned by a deceased warlock named Avery Lauter (J.P. Luebsen). In order to put an end to that wicked warlock, Lauter’s relative, Devon (played with wooden panache by the film’s writer/director Kevin Tenney, who also brought us 1986’s Witchboard, and 1988’s absolute masterpiece Night of the Demons… among many others), assembles a paranormal Suicide Squad consisting of a hodge-podge of mediums, ghost hunters, and security agents, lead by Dr. Agnes Goldberg (Judy Tatum, who arrives in the picture completely tits-out in the tub, as one does) and featuring none-other than legendary scream queen Linnea Quigley (who provides the film’s most memorable death sequence as well as it’s most memorable nudity… as is her wonderful way!) as the team’s videographer Ginger, to complete the task. Once in that dreaded domicile, the team begin experiencing all manner of supernatural shenanigans (up

Award-Winning Filmmaker & Actor Gregory Blair Announces Upcoming Horror Film

Gregory Blair, filmmaker, writer, and actor, has just announced his latest project, his third film, titled The Mystery of Emma Thorn, which centers on a woman who has disappeared, and her husband and son are left to unravel how and why. “This script wrote itself, in a way,” Blair states. “I originally thought I was going to write a more traditional mystery/thriller/horror sort of thing, but as I began writing, the characters led me down a more emotional path. Their connection, their love, their family dynamics and their grief all came out so strongly, they turned the film into something much more heartfelt and moving than I had planned. It’s now not just a mystery; it’s an emotional journey about loss, love and the causes and costs of lies.” When beloved wife and mother Emma Thorn has gone missing, her husband Ari and her son Casper work with a police detective to try to find her. But the circumstances under
