The F*cking Fantastic, Action-Packed Film 'SISU' Is Out Today!

‘SISU,’ One Of The Year’s Best Films Is Now In Theaters

Nazis mess with the wrong man in the action-thriller SISU, which we called “F*cking Fantastic” in our review, and it is out now in theaters! Set in 1944, “during the last desperate days of WWII, a solitary prospector (Jorma Tommila) crosses paths with Nazis on a scorched-earth retreat in northern Finland. When the Nazis steal his gold, they quickly discover that they have just tangled with no ordinary miner. While there is no direct translation for the Finnish word “sisu,” this legendary ex-commando will embody what sisu means: a white-knuckled form of courage and unimaginable determination in the face of overwhelming odds. And no matter what the Nazis throw at him, the one-person death squad will go to outrageous lengths to get his gold back – even if it means killing every last Nazi in his path.” Written and directed by Jalmari Helander and produced by Petri Jokiranta, SISU stars Jorma Tommila, Aksel Hennie, Jack Doolan, Onmi Tommila, and Mimosa

Exclusive New Clip From Horror 'Country Of Hotels' Sees A Man In Danger

Exclusive New Clip From Horror ‘Country Of Hotels’ Sees A Man In Danger

Today, we have a new exclusive clip from the upcoming horror-mystery-thriller from Terror Films and director Julio Maria Martino. Country of Hotels tells the stories of the desperate souls who pass through the doors of 508, a room on the fifth floor of an anonymous, decaying hotel. “We are taken on a surreal and blackly comic journey down its lonely corridors and behind its outdated furnishings and stained surfaces. The story plunges us into the ever-turning carousel of haunted lives who check in and out of this sinister establishment.” Director Julio Maria Martino had this to say about the film: “When we were making Country of Hotels, we worked hard to create an environment which was relentlessly oppressive and claustrophobic, occasionally punctuated by moments of dark humor. An enclosed world in which an unseen, unnamed and mutable threat lurked behind hotel room doors and down long lonely corridors. A threat which might manifest itself suddenly and at any moment. In

It's Time To Watch Hulu's Psychological Horror 'Clock' (Trailer)

It’s Time To Watch Hulu’s Psychological Horror ‘Clock’ (Trailer)

Let’s be honest. At some point, every woman becomes aware of her “clock,” the one that ticks away, reminding us that our fertility is almost done and the time to have kids is almost up. Today, Hulu unleashed the psychological horror-thriller Clock from writer-director Alexis Jacknow (AHS), which delves into just that. Clock is the story of a woman who enrolls in a clinical trial to try and fix her seemingly broken biological clock after friends, family, and society pressures her to have children. Dianna Agron (“Shiva Baby,” forthcoming “Acidman” and “El Elegido”) leads Ella, with Jay Ali (“Carnival Row,” “Daredevil”) as her husband and Saul Rubinek (“Unforgiven,” “Frasier”) as her father. Melora Hardin (“The Office,” “The Bold Type”) features as the pioneering doctor managing Ella’s treatment. Jacknow was tapped to write and direct two short films (“Costume Change” and the short “Clock”) under heavy COVID-19 restrictions in 2020 for the first season of 20th Digital Studio’s “Bite-Size Halloween.” The

Panic Fest Shorts Reviews

Panic Fest Shorts Reviews

The Dream Machine Cowriters/codirectors Josef Hermansson Embring and Philip Sterner have crafted a trippy work, Swedish short The Dream Machine. A young man (Alec Toselli) buys the titular device advertised on late-night television in hopes of easing his insomnia, or at least coming to grips with it, but this being a science fiction thriller, naturally using the machine leads to odd consequences. The filmmakers make the most of a small, sparsely decorated apartment, almost bare except for technology circa the short’s early 2000s-setting. The result is a mind-boggling lo-fi mind bender. The Fore-Men Writer/director Adrian Bobb’s The Fore-Men reveals its secrets slowly, and quite satisfyingly so. Sophia Walker and Gabriel Darku give fine performances as they star as what seems to be the lone survivors, at least in their area, of some cataclysmic event that brought the far past and present colliding together. Bobb makes the most of using what viewers don’t see to build mystery and tension and then
