‘Johnny Gruesome’ Is Back From The Dead To Raise A Little Hell In The First Trailer For the Film

In May I sat down for an interview with Greg Lamberson about his upcoming film Johnny Gruesome. Now, the first trailer has just arrived for this undead revenge film and we have it here to share with you. Anthony De La Torre, who played the role of young Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, stars as Johnny. Byron Brown II, Aprilann, and Michael DeLorenzo co-star. When I asked Lamberson to describe the film this is what he had to say: Johnny Gruesome is the story of a murdered high school student, sort of a heavy metal rebel. The kids who kill him cover it up, like they often do, and he comes back from the grave as a wise-cracking zombie. It’s a very typical EC Comics type of revenge from the grave story. It was always planned as B movie and that’s exactly what it is.” From the Press Release: Red Hell Movies LLC,

I’m very excited about that. It’s not traditional horror, there’s no monsters or zombies or anything like that. It’s more in your head.” Raimi is a veteran in the genre and has appeared in over 90 films and series including, Twin Peaks, Candyman, The Grudge, and Drag Me to Hell. Well, my Little Monsters, we are at that point in the week where we make that downhill run towards the weekend. Now I had another actress originally slated to be highlighted today, but I made a calculated decision to focus on Linda Blair due to an event that’s happening this weekend. In two days Days of the Dead is descending on Indianapolis for three days of horror related festivities, and Linda was very recently confirmed to be in attendance as one of many media guests. With that in mind I felt it appropriate to go ahead and highlight this particular wonderful Woman of Horror, that I would have undoubtedly have written about eventually. So without further ado, I give you Miss Linda Blair. Linda was the baby in her family, being the youngest of three children. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, but would grow up in Westport, Connecticut. Linda’s career kicked off at the tender age of five,
