Movie Review: THE BELKO EXPERIMENT is a Battle Royale of Staplers

Eighty Office Drones with bombs in their heads, a kitchen filled with knives, a locker full of firearms, and a mysterious voice in the ceiling commentating on a game of death; what else could a horror fan ask for? With The Belko Experiment, writer and producer James Gunn harkens back to his Troma roots, delivering an over the top ode to carnage, nihilism, and primal savage. While the film’s message might muddled under an ocean of gore, and whatever insight it had to offer blown away like a Belko Employee’s cranium, Experiment offers what’s likely to be the most bloody fun time you’ve had in awhile; that is if your soul (and your stomach) can handle it. Belko’s premise is simple, with similarities that can be traced all the way back to Shirley Jackson’s The Lottery. 80 employees of the Belko Corporation, each with a bomb stuck in their head, are locked in their building and given two options; kill

Petition Circulating To Convince Studio To Cast Robert Englund As Dr. Loomis In New Halloween

Earlier this month John Carpenter revealed the director, writers, and release date for the upcoming ‘Halloween’ film. Since the announcement there has been a debate amongst genre fans about how should be cast in the role of Dr. Loomis. Fans already have a man in mind, Freddy Krueger actor Robert Englund. In fact, there is now a petition being shared in hopes of convincing the studio, director David Gordon Green, and co-writer Danny McBride to cast Englund as Michael Myers’ foe. This petition was created to allow fans of the Halloween series a direct say in a very salient part of the next film. In short, we think none other than the original Freddy Krueger himself, Robert Englund, would be the perfect person to play Dr. Samuel Loomis. He has the look, the age, and the of course, the acting skills, to play Michael Myers most dedicated foe. And if Loomis isn’t in plans for the future film, consider him

It’s actually, it’s gonna continue to story of Michael Myers in a really grounded way. And for our mythology, we’re focusing mainly in the first two movies and what that sets up and then where the story can go from there.” McBride continued. “Green and I are definitely going to [do] a straight-up horror. John Carpenter Gives An Update On His Reboot Of Halloween

Big news came this past May when it was announced that John Carpenter is teaming up with Blumhouse for reboot of ‘Halloween’. It was reported that Carpenter would serve as executive producer and possibly create the score. Which was huge news, seeing that Carpenter has not been involved with the franchise in decades. Unfortunately, the film hasn’t moved any further along than it was back in October when Jason Blum stated they were still looking for the best way to approach the reboot. During a conversation with Dark Universe, Carpenter revealed that it hasn’t gotten any closer to filming. I’ve known Jason [Blum] for a while, he came to me and said ‘How do you feel about this now that rights have diverted?’ and I said, ‘Sure, why not? I’ll give it a shot and I’ll also try to support the director.’ We don’t have a script yet, so I can’t tell you what it’s about, but I guarantee you
