We are officially halfway to Halloween, but today everyone is talking about the new Halloween movie thanks to the first official poster being released. To top it off, Laurie Strode herself, Jamie Lee Curtis revealed during a conversation with Yahoo that horror fans are “… gonna love this movie.” I’ve seen a trailer and I’ve seen some footage, and it’s terrifying,” Curtis told the site. “They went full-tilt boogeyman. And I’ve never said that in my life, and I will say full-tilt boogeyman for the rest of the year as I go around talking about this.” Curtis also mentioned what she though title of the movie should’ve been. There was the idea of, ‘What do you call it?’ If I had had my druthers, I probably would’ve called it Halloween Retold. Because it’s being retold. It’s the original story in many, many, many ways. Just retold 40 years later with my granddaughter.” In the film, directed by David Gordon Green

Jamie Lee Curtis coming back to play Laurie Strode? Is this a trick or is this a treat? Well, my Little Monsters, it appears to be a huge Halloween treat, indeed. Not for this Halloween mind you, but just in time for the big screen next Halloween. On the next Halloween film’s release date of October 19th of 2018 to be exact. In a post on Twitter, which you can see below, Jamie Lee has announced that Laurie Strode is indeed returning to Haddonfield after 40 years, for one last go ’round with her big bro, Michael Myers. https://twitter.com/jamieleecurtis/status/908760232016322560 Of course this would put Halloween fans in roughly the same position that Alien fans would have been in if they made the Neill Blomkamp film with Ripley and Hicks both returning. Basically one where you have to ignore, for better or worse, that certain chapters in the franchise even exist. I was already stoked when it was announced that Jason

A few days ago we reported that Danny McBride and David Gordon Green are making Michael Myers mortal again. Since then, McBride appeared on the Jim Norton & Sam Roberts Show to reveal more details surrounding their upcoming Halloween movie and confirmed that filming is set to begin this fall. It is not a reboot; it’s not gonna be a rehash,” said McBride. “It’s a continuation of Michael Myers – where we’re choosing to continue it from, you’ll have to see when the movie comes out. I’d already seen all these movies, but I’ve really been studying them now and just thinking about all the people that have been hired to make a Michael Myers movie. Just trying to avoid any mistakes that those people might’ve made. The first Halloween is scary as shit. And the second Halloween is scary, but not as scary. And then from there, it isn’t as scary. And I really think that what happens with

Back in February we reported that Danny McBride and David Gordon Green will be bring Michael Myers back for a new film. The two who are writing the film, with Green directing, have dropped tidbits of information. They have said that they want to return Michael to his former glory in what is being described as a sequel to 1981’s Halloween II. In a recent interview with The Empire Film Podcast, McBride revealed that Michael will not have any supernatural or immortal properties. He will simply be a disturbed man in a mask. I think we’re just trying to strip it down and just take it back to what was so good about the original. It was just very simple and just achieved that level of horror that wasn’t corny. And it wasn’t turning Michael Myers into some supernatural being that couldn’t be killed— that stuff to me isn’t scary. I want to be scared by something that I really
